Spelling: Rice Krispies. Some of these things I’ll let slide, but do we have to spell stuff weird for brand names? Crisp starts with a “C.” What’s a krispy? I assume that’s the singular form. Wikipedia actually has an entry on this concept.

Another point might be copyright/trademark/whatever protection.
You can't get a generic name protected for the item it describes.
If you want to sell apples, you can't get the name "apples" protected for them.
(in contrast to e.g. computers)
So you need to use a more unique name. At best one, which is easily recognizable. So you might go with... err... abbles for your apples.
(or just with something totally different)

I just bought some yogurt today to go with my cold medicine. I think I haven’t been sleeping enough lately due to anxiety so that probably wore me down a bit.

For the record mine is “mixed fruit” and it’s chunks of apple, white peach, mango, and gel’d coconut.

Can't get that one here. Lots if berry flavours and combinations of mango, peach and passion fruit.

Apple is used a bit but they stopped making apple and cinnamon.

Spoiler Yum :

One litre peach and mango. Favorite flavour.

You don't put fruit on cereal?

Or is it more American style just add more suger, cheese and/or deep fry it.
Some people put fruit on cereal. Blueberries, strawberries, or saskatoons are great with cereal. I love raisins in rice pudding, but that's how my grandmother made it. Add cinnamon or brown sugar and it's perfect.

I have no idea what the American style is because I'm not American.

I can't imagine combining cheese with cereal; it sounds revolting.

Cereal is something I have to be careful about now, due to dietary restrictions. If sugar is added, it has to be the fake stuff. For things like oatmeal, I've long preferred to add a bit of honey.

I like peaches, but by themselves or with other fruits.

All of the following are kind of connected as I have a moment:

Top hats
: when are they coming back in style? Also, Rich Uncle Pennybags from the Monopoly game does NOT have a monocle. Some people seem to think he does, but I never thought he did. Speaking of cartoon mascots...

Cereal commercials: when I was a kid you turned on the TV Saturday morning and you’d see Toucan Sam, those Rice Krispies (is that how they’re spelled?) guys, etc., etc. I never cared for Tony the Tiger. What’s with that bandana? Even for a cartoon cereal mascot, it makes no sense. And with cereal...

I am not a crackpot.
‘Tastee Wheat’.

It's a joke about American cuisine.

1. Add more suger.
2. Add cheese.
3. Deep fry it.
4. All of the above.

Joke or not, it sounds revolting. I'm one of the few Canadians I know who finds poutine revolting.

How to do a TED talk:
  • don't wear a tie (if you're male)
  • wear your microphone on your head
  • gesture with your hands to the audience long enough for the YouTube icon
I'm not exactly hitting the hot-button issues anymore.

I've am mildly amused in a political ad where the candidate the creators are opposed to use a picture that makes them look the most like a lizard, while for the candidate they are supporting, they use an picture of that candidate doing their best not-a-lizard impression.

I've been rearranging the furniture lately. It's getting to be a challenge to make sure it's convenient for me at the same time as making sure it's convenient for Maddy. Over the past several months I've noticed that she has more trouble jumping up on the surface where I feed her, so I've had to arrange things so she has multiple steps to make it easier.

So, since McD counts as takeaway(I only visit takeaway places) I've been there a couple of times to pick up donuts, apple pies and drinks. First time was earlier this week. I've paid with my card.

Now, currently on CFC I only see ads for McD desserts. Is credit card usage really that hooked up to the ad algorithms!? I can't recall ever searching for anything related and have cookies off by default(CFC is one of few exceptions). Creepy. :shifty:

Google also tracks your physical location via your phone. I sometimes get prompts asking me to review my local mcdonalds or whatever on google maps because it knows I went there. it's probably getting your info from google's own ecosystem and not your CC selling you out, but who knows?

That sounds more plausible. Perhaps I could test it by going to a place... owned by a company with lots of advertising resources.:ninja:

You can turn off location pinging on your phone.

And you should get yourself anti-tracking software for your browser, too.

If I had a construction company, I would hire Wile E. Coyote. He could paint tunnels. Think of the money you’d save on dynamite crews.
This is the CFC I believe in :eekdance:
