did @Snerk and/or @Narz build a time machine?
There was some sort of weird glitch. I made a comment today, then when I refreshed the thread, that comment had been pushed up the thread as if it was months older (despite the time stamp). Then an old post in that spot had been moved down as if it were new (despite the timestamp). I deleted that old post in hopes that would fix it but it did not.

I should report you for breaking the space-time continuum!

If you see a black cat going past that doorway and then the same cat again, just wait until the Agents come and you'll forget everything.

Now it's gone totally screwy.
Maybe it's time to serialize the fitness thread. The current one seems to exist in some sort of state of temporal flux where the laws of space and time no longer apply.

Moderator Action: I have reported the fitness thread to management. They will look into it. Thank you for bringing it to our attention

Sometimes I've thought of the confusion that would result around here if I adopt another black cat. If it's a female who looks like Maddy, the only way to tell them apart would be their personalities and voices (yes, cats have distinctive voices, just like humans do). And it would drive the staff and home people nuts.

Actually that post was a reference to this:

Yes, I realize it was referencing something unfamiliar to me (I've never seen the Matrix movies). However, my post is still valid.

When I started highschool in 2011 at the age of 16 I got a graphical calculator from casio for math classes. Since I've studied physics I've used it a lot since

right now I changed the batteries of it for the first time ever
I find that math software on a laptop is quicker and easier to work with than calculators. I think I have an old casio graph calculator somewhere but once PC software got decent I've never looked back. For lesser jobs I prefer a math app on my phone over a calculator.

AOC is very cool, yet the name "Alexandria" isn't that good. Should have been "Alexandra", obviously (the feminine form of Alexander). Naming people after cities (eg Paris, London, Alexandria) is rather strange imo.

Oh, c'mon, where do you think the name ‘Thessaloníke’ came from?

Yes, but ‘Paris’ is currently a woman's name derived from the non-Greek name of the city of Paris.

Princess Thessaloníke of Macedon was thus named to refer to the place called Thessaly (or Phettaly in the local vernacular).

Sure, many names are derived from places. But not many are derived from cities, let alone are identical to the city itself.
Philip named his daughter Thessalonike to celebrate his nike (victory) in Thessaly (against Phocis in the sacred war, and also the annexation of Thessaly itself). The city Thessalonike was founded (and named) by Kassander, after his wife, Thessalonike (said daughter of Philip).

Could we leave certain famous-for-being-famous heiresses out of this, please? Kyriakos specified people. I'm fairly sure that Paris - although we don't know for sure if he ever existed or if Homer just made him up - predates the city of Paris, France (or any other cities named Paris).
