I would think the "famous" person is more the driving force here than the city.
No accounting for taste.

It's probably where she was conceived. (London is #180) That has been common before. I knew a girl named Chevy

Florence Nightingale is a notable historical example.

Given that Florence was a good Victorian lady, her parents wouldn't have named her Firenze. She was however born in Firenze and named Florence.

Plus, Wikipedia specifically names the city of her birth as the inspiration for her name.

Yes, but that still isn't the same if other people already had used the name without tying it to the city. Which is what I was asking :)
TLDR: were there any other people in Britain called Florence, before F.N.? If yes, then it just isn't the same case with Paris and Paris Hilton.

Could we leave certain famous-for-being-famous heiresses out of this, please? Kyriakos specified people. I'm fairly sure that Paris - although we don't know for sure if he ever existed or if Homer just made him up - predates the city of Paris, France (or any other cities named Paris).
To predate is not the same as to cause.

I never said anything about causes. I'm speaking about simple chronology. Homer's Paris predates the existence of Paris, France (and all other cities with that name, particularly in North America).

Also, the article linked seems to think that 250 BCE pre-dates the existence of Rome, which it does not (the date commonly given for the founding of Rome is 753 BCE). The Iliad is estimated to have been written before the founding of Rome (although within a decade or two).

In the context of the article "the Roman era" refers to the time when the Romans administered the territory of modern France, which would correspond to roughly 50 BCE - 450 CE

Got a new employee who at this time get constant bully by her senior marketing coach. The manager ask me to straighten the bully attitude up who are known to be a very selfish and self-centered-don't bother me kind of character. Now I'm going to pull some fancy trick below my sleeves and I see if it will work or not, because I'm getting bored and get near freak after awhile, instead of the obvious I would like to praise and give gratification to the senior marketing instead for being an excellent coach, because her student score two huge deal in a month; and I want to told her to keep up the good work. I hope this will have a positive effect on her, with this I hope she is going to see another way to bring herself up, it's from helping other not always helping herself.

Sound like a total lot of crap and disney like BS, but heck I wanna try it, wish me luck

edit: I did it, she was on a leave, while she picked up the phone after I congratulate her she is so surprised and sound really nervous. I hope this hit her to sanity somehow

The guide/seminar I am writing on how to write fiction will (I fear) be regarded as too literary & theoretical.
I mean... most people just speak of Little Red Riding Hood and Tolkien (examples). You can guess what exists here :)

Although half of it was examined already, and I am currently adding some more pop-styled parts.

Not that I am not to blame as well. I mean there was a reason that up to now I avoided doing any seminar about creative writing. As well as a rather not art-tied reason why I now am writing just that.

Perhaps you need to write a guide/seminar on how to write guide/seminars on how to write fiction.

Hmm. You could add "a short introduction to.." to the title. Might be a bit nichey though ;)

You know, if I could go back one month I would just copy some US guide instead of writing my own guide. I am sure it would be of more use too.
Then again, the thing will have my name attached to it, let alone be online. So likely I couldn't just do that either.
So now there are like 10 sub-categories for obscure side-concepts, and probably some major categories are just missing cause I am not in touch with hip nu-story telling anything outside my niche :)
