It doesn't move. Seems to be dead.

Don't Look Up.

The US Space Force plans to start patrolling the area around the Moon
This week, the US Air Force Research Laboratory released a video on YouTube that didn't get much attention. But it made an announcement that is fairly significant - the US military plans to extend its space awareness capabilities beyond geostationary orbit, all the way to the Moon.

I am not sure what the poor drawing is supposed to represent with that line below the eyes. The figure is wearing a t-shirt all the way to his head, like the great Cornholio? Ok, but then how is the mouth visible? :/
Might make more sense as "three kids in an overcoat".

These are sweetmeats and they are kind of made of bread:

I always wondered what sweetmeats were. They look good, especially the strawberry ones.

The bottom photo... do I really want to know what's in that? It looks disgusting.

I had thought that sweetmeats meant exactly this, as in nittle sweet delicacies served as finger food. Looking it up for that post it actually means any sort of sugar based foodstuff, so all candy.

It is either pancreas or thymus. It is really tasty, I recommend it if you get a chance. Quite fatty, but in a really rich meaty way. The recommended way is a bit of a faff, with lots of stages of soaking and cooking, but just frying them works well enough.

Kids are pretty ridiculous :) There were four teens on the bus, and one of them didn't wear a mask. So the others kept saying (it was a joke) that he will infect people, that he tested positive etc.

Some people soak them in milk and roast them over an open fire. :yumyum:

Some people would rather just eat French fries.

Which actually are a great complement to fire-grilled sweetmeats.

It is rare I trigger the auto filter that ****'s swear words, because you know, rules. I think every time I have has been trumps fault.

:ack:

Like I said: disgusting.

I have an irrational dislike of people who pronounce the word especially as expecially
My desire to kick people who say "literally" when they really mean "metaphorically" is completely rational.

I hope no one at my work is reading this, 'cos they will know who I mean. The ones that get me to have to bite my tongue are Pacific instead of specific and X-array rather than X-ray.

Enough idiots have been doing that for the dictionary to update what literally means.. so it now means literally and the exact opposite. Which I think is stupid. But hey, languages evolve?

The other day I was listening to a podcast about the invasion of Ukraine and the host of the program asked a guest to provide the dictionary definition of "sanction" before going into the specifics, and I was like, "No! Don't do that. You'll only confuse everybody even more."

After a couple of millennia people are still waiting for the definition of biblical 'kind' regarding animals, especially those in the said boat-zoo. Even if there were to be a definition, confusion would follow as well.

Also, does anyone know who, when & why started replacing 'would've' with 'would of' ? There's clearly a case to be made for capital punishment.
