Satire is dead.........
Eh. One of the three potential winners for next month's presidential election is a madman who rides an open-topped bus, with tears streaming down his face, slashing the air with a chainsaw. His followers admit that his proposals have never worked anywhere they've been applied, but they still want to have it applied.

ı know some people find it offensive when ı define the West as idiots . As in the case the mighty blorious glorious call ...
so , with total lack of coverage in the news in places ı would be aware of , ı had to go to some specialist strategy site . Now , apparently sooth sayers in the entire world had great expectations about September 20th and New Turkey adapted some . Like even the beginnings of some Turanian empire with monetary union ? Which would turn out be the clashes . The ever matchless Americans got a short fuse thing with losing this ever glorious F-35 , literally , for a day so they weren't much vocal , but seems up to 8 Russians were killed in the traditional end-of-combat Azeri accidents . Who lost about 70 , inflicted about 1000 casualties , destroyed practically everything they targeted and took back about 25% of their country still invaded by Armenians . You know , like in one day . Strangely enough all the actual racist lot in the echo chamber , the ones who say all Armenians between Azerbeycan and this country should be driven to France , yeah , they all shut up ... so that ı missed all the gloating .

Don't pretend most people there would know what "turanian" is without googling it.

In my view, it's bad enough having dumb individuals, but it's considerably dumber for them to link up so as to form a collective, as in a transformer robot or country.

ugh , so that they would do dumb things and forget about turning half of the country to Greeks ?

No, that'd be good.

Well, tbh, currently it wouldn't even be good, but a little better.

Random thought: speaking of good, it's what this would have been if they didn't use the nasty old guy:

and like the most likely reaction to anyone who doesn't know !

So you have to, um, wait for 11½ hours.

I was just browsing Walmart's offerings in the grocery department, and came across this:

I am trying to figure out the rationale as to why people would frequently buy Swanson's meat pies and Q-tips together.

That's quite tame compared to some of the combos out there

Maybe it's just that both are popular products and there's an overlap.

Or they're about to expire and so the owners of Wal-mart are doctoring the search results, which (throws aside glance at camera) would be inconceivable.

There are times when Walmart's search algorithms make about as much sense as Amazon's. As in they make no sense at all.

You can have the exact same product, and one will be $20-30 more, even when sold by the same third-party seller.

Blue boxes with light blue in the middle

now hey

the six million dollar man would have to win the $25,000 Pyramid 240 times to make back the investment

ouch!

I think they've bumped it up to the $100,000 Pyramid now. $25k isn't that much, as game shows go these days. I think the only one that's cheaper on the prizes is Wheel of Fortune, or if you happen to be among the first month's boots/evictions on Survivor or Big Brother (not sure if early eliminations on The Amazing Race get paid anything for appearing on TV).

Can't say the image has any obvious link to Gogol. Who was one of the greatest russian writers, though :)
The Overcoat and Diary of a Madman are very important short stories, and he had a couple more (The Portrait, Nose etc).

Wodehouse was one of the funniest writers to ever put pen to paper, and also one of the greatest stylists of the English language. They just don't make writers like him today.

Going from their descriptions, this year's entries are predictably disappointing. Only two (The Satsuma Complex and The Murder at Crime Manor) are the only ones that seem Wodehousian, the others definitely not.
