Best I can do is the second post.
I cast my second vote for the Co-Ops.
Are the Greens supposed to be in Aegis? WIM?
Honestly, do you really think I would use a vote as a bribe?
The Greens are part of Aegis, as far as I know.
Aegis will put something together to make our platform more clear and concise.
The Whosit II Administration Years - The Aegis II coalition
Consolidation of Power: The Authoritarian President
Vice President: ilduce
Minister of State: WIM
Minister of Peace and Love: Sonereal
Whosit set up a much smaller administration which was based on a authoritarian power structure, this was most likely done in opposition to the decentralised base of the previous Unity structure.
The Efficient Golden Age
Whosit used the Great Prophet to start the first golden age of england. He also then used another Great Prophet and Cull the Great Spy for the second. Gaining the Taj Wonder got us a third. This combined with fast efficient planning made this the fastest and most prominent administration on record. England ended the term at the top of the scoreboard.
The Rising Independent Powers
As more people joined a lot of them set themselves up as independent players instead of joining or creating a party.
TwinkleToes89 joined in Post #6783. Joining Fellow and Celtic Fury in the Independent Ranks.
Nekator joined in Post #6951 as yet another Independent
Soon they will need to be listed under a Independent Faction on the first page.
The Liberal Marxist Party changed their name to English Socialists (IngSoc)
Spoiler IngSoc Symbol :
Negotiations: The Remus Conclusion.
Previously we had been given some options for how to deal with the last of the Roman Holdouts. It came down, no longer to who would win, but to who would end the war controlling Italy. We did not want that to be the Vikings. They were allready the technology giants of Europe which hidden away in the icy north. Letting them gain prime italian land would go badly for us.
In response Whosit chose to pursue a negotiation with Fredrick our vassal for help. He could not provide much war support. But if we took Mediolanum then Rome would collapse.
After negotiations were concluded we gained:
Definate: 3 swordsmen
Potential: 1 Catapult + 1 Horse Archer
In return we would:
Gift Mediolanum to Fredrick to use as his new Captial
Return the surviving German Troops to Fredrick after the war
Station English units in Germany in case of future Viking agression against them
Issue: Retake our Island
Mechaerik was the person to start the idea and push forward. It was originally propsed against the Irish, as it was felt they had inhabited what some called "English land" for long enough.
Celticfury was against in Post #6844 he posts how it would not be wasted when larger enemies are massing against us.
Some agreed including Mechaerik's party the IngSoc but many wished for it to be fully decided in the future.
Captain Fargle was fully against this proposed butchery of our only friend.
The Neccesary Peace and Whispers of Future Wars
The Vikings were flexing their newfound muscle. Having allways been the Tech leader of Europe with their new land from Rome turned into a Greek Vassal they were confident in their buffer state.
Russia was silent recovering from Arabian Aggresion
Mongolia was listening with growing alarm to the whispers from people to retake Ireland.
Carthage was also mentioned in these ominious War whispers. In the long term Carthage hadn't really made any bold moves internationally. Just expanding across the Sahara Desert and being a peaceful Technology Trader.
The War Mongers were pushing for a easy walkover against Ireland. While Imperialists or Ruthless people were eyeing the more profitable Carthage. Our Silent Neighbour... Others wished for true peace and the final few would wish no war while Russia and Vikingland were strong and watching us.
This all changed when The Viking and Russian War Boats appeared of the isles... but WE weren't their target...
The Caesarian Wars: New German independence
Spoiler The Fall of Mediolanum, Rome surrenders to English Annexation :
Now in the aftermath of the wars the 3 remaining European powers gathered to discuss how to carve up the old Empire with the subdued Ceaser in toe. The Vikings felt slighted seeing as we managed to get Rome to surrendor before their Army of Doom advanced through Italy. the Russians had lost many men in the war with no real gains thanks to the sudden assault by the Arabs.
*Roman cities become English
*Caesar granted manor in Setia, lives as private citizen
*We get no soldiers or tech from Rome
*Rome is governed by a Governor-General. An individual has been named, and I will PM him later today.
*The demanded Cumae. I refused.
*They won't crush us today, but Ragnar is Furious.
Governor-General for Italy was named as Mechaerik
Perhaps in Response to this snub Viking and Russia allowed the eastern Remains of Rome to spin of into the Greek Nation, A Vassal of Ragnar in Post #7033
Spoiler Borders of Europe Post War :
Gruekiller launched a public speaking spectacle in Post #7038 urging us to remain strong and not fear this new nation on our doorstep.
Victory Conditions: Choosing the Path
Now that the game was getting into the more advanced era's the idea of how to win was raised in post #6950
Time: Highest score at the end of the game. = Possible
Diplomatic Victory: AP or UN = AP is owned by the hindu's, UN not built then.
Space: Get the Space Ship to Alpha Centauri first. = Possible if the Tech rate is rocovered.
Domination: Control 2/3 of the world's land mass. = Possible with our growing strength, Something our more pro-war groups were for as a victory.
Conquest: Eliminate or vassalize every rival civ. = Harder to pull of then Domination.
Cultural: Bring 3 cities to Legendary cultural status. = Nearly impossible with our low culture.
Arya makes his views clear as the bad cop of the Opposition
There had been quiet murmers of a moving of the captial that was shot down. England should stay English. He opposed all war plans citing a need to rebuild and cautioned against a all defensive army. Whosit had chosen to keep Italy for himself. Arya had thought that it would be delivered into Fredericks hands and Germany.
He declared the Copperheads as his buisiness to deal with.
Once again the Admin grew annoyed at Arya taking things into his own hands with the issue of the Copperheads declared "his"
Spectrite posted a in depth counter position in Post #7026
The Mediator Breakdown
The CPS started out as a mediator between the Administration and the Opposition. It had it's own AOR that showed whether it leaned towards the admin or the opposition in it's backing.
Mathnerd and Captain Fargle had agreed to be joint leaders. But when Mathnerd kept adjusting their their AOR meter without consulting Captain Fargle the alliance broke down.
Post #7345 Has Fargle coming down on these actions
Post #7347 Has Mathnerd officially disband the CPS
Issue: COPPERHEAD RALLY IN RAVUS-YORK GOES WRONG!
Earlier this morning a mass demonstration by the radicals known as the Copperheads took place in Ravus-York, our main military command hub during the war. The Copperheads are an anti-immortal, anti-military organization that supported a white peace with Rome and the removal of the immortals from office in exchange for their new leader, Victoria. Ironically, the pro-Roman nationalist organization has almost no presence in the formerly Roman lands, with many figures there citing the Copperheads as "wild-eyed reactionary radicals".
However, the rally that took place this morning was the second-largest one in their history, second only the Inception Rally in Wales when the organization was formed. There were almost two dozen scheduled speakers, including one Jack White, who called out "Come down from your palace, Whosit! Come down and let freedom ring! Come down and let our blades take you!". If left alone, the riot would likely have petered out. Unfortunately, nearby was a unit of former soldiers in the Gallic Campaign who had been reconstituted as a military police unit preparing for deployment in Antium. The unit blew into the Copperheads in an attempt to drag White from the platform and to the nearest jail. The crowd fought back, and more MPs joined the fray. By now, the entire city is in an uproar as mobs on both sides fight while the police attempt to restore order.
The administration has yet to comment on this development.
Once again Arya was wanting to deal with things himself and took actions into his own hands with some Opposition Actions.
Whosit sent his second in command Sonereal to deal with them in a official capacity.
After twenty-four hours the riots have been mostly quelled in Ravus-York. However, Copperhead fanatics have risen up in the nearby territory, forming two spear companies after overwhelming the local garrisons in bloody massacres. The good news is that nearly all the Copperhead loyalists have joined the Army of Revolution in France, and their numbers have collapsed across the Empire. If the Army can be crushed, the Copperhead Era perhaps is at an end.
If we fail, then there may yet be a Copperhead state in France to contend with. And perhaps the Nordic Bloc will see this as weakness to exploit.
After this update some wished to negotiation but others were now getting behind Arya and his kill them all stategy but some just didn't want the man to be the one to get his hands bloody and considered it administration business.
It came down to this: If they pillaged then they were considered no longer English.
Some grew tired of an Organised Christian Religion. Some talked of changing to Buddism to please our rivals and others wished to pursue a Nation of Free Religion. This talk was dropped Mid-way but picked up again for the election topic.
The Plan: The Efficient Pondering
There was some word initially of Whosit having a closed Administration and not sharing his planning, He regaled this later as he saw no point to stir controvery for little reason. This raised some questions once again on direct and indirect Democracy.
Post #7346 has Fellow show his thoughts on the differences between the Democracies.
Spoiler Technolgy Trades Available :
We have a monopoly on Guilds, Thus Whosit wished to trade it for all we could get. Gold or Tech.
Civic changes = Mercentilism, Organised Religion, Bureaucracy
Cities = individually specialised for Commerce, Production or anything else. Birmingham and Antium were kitted out to be our military pumps.
Whosit II Term Part 1: New Horizens falls
The joint Viking and Russian Assault force was not aimed at us but at our weaker Neighbour the Irish Khan! The Vikings took the small Isles in the north while the Russians managed to overcome the Capital in Ireland.
Spoiler The Viking isle Occupation :
Spoiler The British Isles and Ireland under occupation :
Thanks to the Golden age, our new postRoman Lands, and being able to use Guild as a Trading tool we were at the top of the scoreboard. We even managed to be the first to get to liberalism and swiped nationhood. Currently we were researching Military Tradition to gain better Horse Units for our large empire. Speed was allways good.
Spoiler Germania :
Spoiler Gaul :
Spoiler Iberia :
Spoiler Italy :
Spoiler Fredrick our Vassal :
We finally met some more people, mainly from the now solidly hindu East. This block was even more powerful now since one of them had managed to build the Aposalistic Palace. Unifying them. They had their own balance of power there, With the Holy India, the Agressive Arabs, the Tech savy Egyptians and these new weaker lackys. These five were growing strong and unlike the European powers were not fractured.
Spoiler Tokugawa of the isolated Japan :
Spoiler Wang Kon of the Devout Koreans :
The Vikings once again flexed their might and demanded that we turn Buddist. This was turned down and they left fuming.
Issues: Irish Occupation & Statehood
The Russians and Vikings invade Ireland!
After a peace was initially signed, the Russians and the Irish seemed to have abandoned their war. However, Peter and Ragnar worked together to seize Ireland in a surprise invasion. Now the Khan's Resistance Front(KRF) is taking to the hills to fight the occupation and the Khan himself in seeking asylum from the Russian occupiers. Should we turn him away? Should we declare war on the Russians and Vikings for intervening in our sphere? Should we covertly supply the KRF in the hopes they can turn the tide? Or shall we sit in our Isle and leave the invaders to their business?
On a more mundane note, Switzerland and Germany have applied for statehood in the English Republic - should we allow them?
It was quite a shock to suddenly find these agressors on our doorstep after ages of the peaceful Irish Mongols.... Suddenly our old friends looked nicer and perhaps we could have seen what a good thing we had earlier.
Captain Fargle allowed Khan to shelter in english lands with no room for compromise. And while many were against a visable resistance eventually the idea of supplying Irish peoples with Viking armements to fight the Russians was thought up. Hopefully this can drive a wedge in their growing alliance.
It was obvious that the next election would be focused on wether to reclaim Ireland now or wait for the oppurtune moment. For now Whosit was more focused on rebuilding then war.
As to the Statehood as long as the peoples of England showed allegiance to the immortals and didn't spin of to vassals many found themselves uncaring on what happened, considering the Viking and Russian boldness to me a more stressing topic.
The Updated Plan
It was briefly discussed whether it would be benficial to change to Free Religion during the Golden age. Considering we were now a lone Christian nation many could agree with this. But others didn't think we would gain as much tech bonus compared to the production bonus from Organised religion under Christianity.
Also there was the fact that spreading other religions through the land, especially Buddism, would only add more gold to the Holy Russians Coffers.
The Taj Mahal was also raised as a Wonder that we could definatly go for. Being the first to get Nationhood! It would cut back on the Catapults Whosit could build, he does like his siege and collateral damage units. But the Extra Golden Age would do wonders for our economy.
It was revealed that our Great Spy Cull had found the Viking Stack of Doom stationed in their Capital of Nidaros!
Spoiler Nidaros Army :
Eventually Whosit ironed out his details. A New Great Prophet that had spawned in London was used along With our old time Great Spy Cull to usher in a second Golden age. While doing so Antium would build the Taj Mahal to hopefully net England a 3rd Golden Age.
With the Viking stack Located by our Uncatchable Super Spy, Whosit felt comfortable that the rest of the time Caravels or normal spies could keep track of its movements.
Tech was to try to head for Rifling to get the English Super unit the Redcoats. As a war with the other Europe powers looked inevitable Whosit believed it should be done with Redcoats!
Main infrastructure to be built would be Banks and Universities. Missionaries to be built if possible but not a priority.
The Opposition Actions
HDO "Abducts" MPs!
The Military Policemen in Ravus-York who initiated the Riot, in the eyes of the government, were today absconded from the city and taken to an unknown location by the HDO. Opposition stalwart Arya has decreed that they will be "protected" there until the government pardons them of any responsibility in the Riots.
The first of the Copperhead units attempted to seize the tiny French town of Paris, and was taken by the nearby Amsterdam garrison. The second was attacked by an unknown group near Ravus-York and shattered, ending the Copperhead threat. But have we actually paved the way for yet more chaos?
Caesar's Attempted Assassination!
Recently Caesar's manor in Setia was the scene of a failed attempt to kill the venerable Roman leader. The men commiting the attempt were few in number, but they carried away their dead after the guards were alerted to their presence, so we do not know if they were Russian Spetznaz, Viking Berserkers, the Night Eagles or even the Monks in Black.
The World Map
With the trade we made with Carthage we finally managed to get our hands on a proper world map. In the end the layout of the nations looked something like
Whosit II Term Part 2: The Taj Mahal, Herald of the Golden Age Kind
Spoiler The Taj Mahal :
The Taj was built making Whosit's tenure a true golden age.
Spoiler The President of the United Toaist States :
Long ago a tireme had been sent to try and find a passage into the New World of America. Strangly enough it now sent word back of it's victory with perplexing information... The United States of America had been discovered, and it was Toaist! Strange because the Toaist Holy City had been founded in Russia centuries ago.
In international News the Arabians tried to lure us into a War with Russia after they lost the Aposalistic Palace Election to Asoka of the Indians. The Irish continue their resistance front and Carthage remains as quiet as allways.
Domestically we have two new Great People. The Scientist Mathnerd and the Merchant ilduce. What to do with them would prove influential in the latest election. As for our lands, the workers had managed to advance all the way from Iberia, through Gaul and had even improved the new lands from Rome. Ours was now a rebuilt nation with a respectable army of knights, mace-men and a abundance of Catapults.
Spoiler British Ilses :
Spoiler Gaul :
Spoiler Iberia :
Spoiler Germania :
Spoiler Italy :
Spoiler Fredrick our Vassal :
Spoiler English Technology :
The Elections were now open. The Fate of the nation once again up for grabs.
Last Update: Page 375, Post #7489
Election Situation: Twinkletoes call for Coalitions to issue a manifesto. The New book is up, election will be edited in later. All books now have pictures. Voila' now time for bed so ciao.
Tech path options
Civic: Go for constitution and Democracy. Getting Representation and risking the Statue of Liberty could make all territory in Euroasia pay for itself.
Exploration: Get optics and explore the globe. The Carvels would allow us to spy on neighbours while transporting missionaries around the world. Getting to Galleons would mean the American Super Continent would be ours to plunder.
Science: Going for scientific techs would obsolete monasteries. The pay off is more potential Great People for getting their first and a variety of extras from Airships to the Merchant food Corporations.
Industrialism: Going for steel would allow us to be artillery kings. The Railroad would allow us to fight and reinforce a land war in Asia. We would also have to go through Chemistry getting us the most powerful ships on the sea. The drawback is that we would be overspecializing and could loose our sudden tech advantage.
Settle: If we get Constitution soon and the civic representation then settled these GPs could do a lot of good.
Tech: Not sure what the techs are but we are advanced enough now that they won't be one shots and will only get us halfway there. Worthwhile?
Academy & Trade Mission: Increases what we have. The Academy would be a good boost in our top research city while the trade mission would get us some quick money to upgrade all the troops.
Keep: Could be kept for a 3GP golden age or for founding a Corporation as we are getting close to some of them allready.
Reclaim our island: War ASAP. We take back the isles now and fight a holding action in the east moving forward slowly.
Peace: We stay as we are and try to gain influence, build colonies, spread religion.
Survival of the Fittest: Take out a weaker nation for an easy war and perhaps to train the troops. Carthage, Egypt and America are the weakest none-vassals.
Surgical Strike: Build up and only launch a strike when the first assault will cripple our greatest European Threats.
To complicated to list everything possible, so current highlighted troubles are below.
Health of the Nation: Currently most of our cities are unhealthy. How should this be cured?
Religion: The Matter of Free Religion has been raised and that not all English cities are Christian. What should be done?
Vassals: Germany is second to last in score. He is better then America. He also can tech partially well and has Engineering to trade. Khan of Ireland on the other hand is a broken man. With his lands under occupation.
Troops vs Infrastructure: What should be concentrated on?

Vice President = Ravus
Spoiler The Patriot Manifesto: Mark 1, subject to changes and edits :
Tech: Industrialism, filling in techs to get Naval units and eventually heading towards Communism if able.
Great People: Store or Use for Special Abilities.
Foriegn Policy: Build up for a eventual surgical Strike against the Vikings. Russian and Ireland cannot be reclaimed without also dealing with the Vikings. Thus our first move should be against them. Peace, Build-up and Red Coats first though. Trebs should be traded off Fredrick
Interior Policy: Set up resource Trades for health. Found a forward base near the Viking Capital so that we only need to shuttle units across instead of building a navy of Galleons. Troops should be diversified before upgrading to Red Coats and Trebs (Or Cannons if available)
The Greens are definetly part of AEGIS II.
Quick note: Aegis' Vice-President is Nukeknockout. I'll be working in a different position this time.
Second vote for monks.
I vote for IngSoc and Jokers
That world map sort of raises the question of how Russia has a navy to invade Ireland with. xD They don't seem to have a coastline.
Russia has the White Sea and the Baltic Sea next to it.
Got a question for the candidates:
In addition to giving the public a manifesto on your goals, can you also provide a short statement concerning how you plan to run the government? What will your style be-authoritative like Whosit's previous term, or more "open" and decentralized?
But it has no coastline on either. The coast in the region seems to be dominated by the Vikings.
I do not speak for the rest of my coaliton, but I personally believe in a style closer to decentralization. While a more authoritarian government would be more efficient, I am a firm believer in democracy and thus would try to make a government more transparent.
While I do not offer a complete open government a la Unity, I believe that we could establish a government that is both transparent and efficient.
I am disappointed that you didn't wait for our plan. As I am in a hurry, and wont be able to post tonight, I trust Whosit enough to post the plan. I will probably not have access to the internet for the rest of the night. Sorry if this inconvenienced everyone.
I may have to drop out of this, for the time being. Much sorry.
Vote: Imperial and PCE.
As it so happens, I've got our official plan outline.
Tech: Complete Rifling path, pick up Optics/Astronomy for better transport boats, then Chemistry/Steel for Frigates + Cannons. After the military techs, Scientific Method to reveal oil, and Physics for a free Great Scientist (see below for use).
Great People: We have Scientist and Merchant. The Great Scientist will build an Academy in Liverpool, which boasts a respectable base commerce. The Great Merchant will be sent to the New World on a Trade Mission. The Great Scientist from Physics will be saved for Standard Ethanol if we lack Oil, otherwise, it will be settled in our Oxford city, if already built, or used for another Academy.
Foreign Policy: Build-up our army in preparation for a strike at Nidaros, reclaiming Ireland after the main threat is gone. Enough troops will be held in reserve to defend the home island, eastern front, and Germany. We will maintain good relations with Carthage and any other country that has remained willing to trade techs with us.
Interior: Continue to build Gold/Beaker improvements, work our way towards the Globe Theatre in Amsterdam for drafting by adding Theatres to cities. Workers keep adding tile improvements to cities that need them. Production cities continue to build our best troops and siege units, switching to Galleons once we have Astronomy.
Celticfury: Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question at this time, but I am sure Ilduce will have an answer when he gets back on his computer. I do know that he plans to have five or six official administration positions, which is more than I had.
A bribe? No, it had already been decided.
Co-ops join Aeigs. I use my second vote towards the Imperials.
MathNerd, I am disappoint.
I use my second vote for the Monks.
Lh, why do you need to vent?
