[R&F] Rise and Fall Screenshot discussion

Had a couple of thoughts lately
1) Would they do multiple artworks for the same improvement ? Could it be a Feitoria look different if it was built on desert compared to grasslands ?
2) If we generalize what a Feitoria is, we could say it is a type of factory or trading post. So it could be a new improvement (Called either a trading factory or trading post) available for any civ to build ?

There are only two new (non-unique) improvements, and per Anton Strenger they are the City Park and Fishery which are made by Governors.

Remember how in one of the videos they were talking about specializing your civ toward a specific route? You think the governor's quasi-wonder correlates with the track(s) you choose/have the most points toward?
Yes, if that governor is considered a builder and allows the city to build certain improvements, I don't see why you couldn't promote him to make some districts on the water. To me it doesn't feel like it would be a wonder at all.

I just hope these quasi-wonders are Civ-specific.

You know what I just thought? There are no borders on the screenshots.

So, the Feitoria-thingy could actually belong to another civ. :p

Yups. I brought that up awhile ago. It could be a city-state for all we know & nothing has changed about their mechanics at all. I personally would love it if the feitoria draws cultural influence as well to boost for envoys. It would also be more enjoyable imo if you’re allied with another nation, you could build a feitoria with no penalty.

What we're seeing is also surely a mock-up and not the result of actual gameplay. They could have just world-builded it there or whatever.

Of course, but they wouldnt for sure world-build a completely unrealistic situation regarding something new they want to show off. :p

Why would it be coastal and fortified then?

My assumption was that the coast was a coincidence (the jutting part was tied to the fishery), but I may have been making too much about blue as well as that dome.

But maybe they would use the whole Registan complex in that case.

Edit: How do I do spoilers. I didn't realize how big the pics were.

I feel that could be tied in to the fishery.
The dock is clearly connected to the fort though. I'm finally under the impression that this is a Feitora partially because I'm tired of speculating and it makes the most sense.
First looks can't come soon enough.

I have settled with "a wonder that doesnt exist anymore today", for now. :p The Kilwa something might be a favourite for that.

Regarding the blue domed & crenelated coastal structure - I'm starting to feel that it is a representation of an ancient wonder that is no longer standing. 5 of the 7 "known" wonders are from the 16th century AD or newer. I think it probably comes sometime after the Greek style temple of unknown origin and before St. Basil's Cathedral. That's a pretty big time period, and we aren't able to find a good representation of it anywhere hence my theory that it's not in this current state anymore. I feel the size, style, and overall detail make it unlikely to be anything other then the 8th wonder of this expansion.

Current list with estimated construction date from oldest to most recent:

1. Temple of Artemis* 550(?) BC
...
2. or 3. Kōtoku-in 1252(?) AD
...
4. St Basil's Cathedral 1561
5. Archivo General de Indias 1572
6. Statue of Liberty 1886
7. Château Frontenac 1893
8. Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station 1975++
