Entertainment -> Amenities
Amusement pier -> Loyalty
I'm going to side with Eagle Pursuit here.
Except for the seven world wonders, taj mahal, machu pichu and notre dame, the himeji castle, great mosque of djenne, the borobodur and maybe the leaning tower of pisa or uffizi, i would prefer most of them not to return. And even among the ones i just named, we will most likely only see a small part of it back.
Nonono, what i meant was that it can be built on water, too. Like in addition to normal (landbased) placement. making it a district that can be placed on either land or water, giving some more viable options to city planning.
And again, How are those buildings and and unique districts going to work?
there's plenty of free space between the piers on the screenshot:
enough space for arena/tlachtli (1), zoo (2), and stadium (3)!
and for unique brazilian district: either somewhere above circle 1 or even no water-placement-option
Edit: that one tent with the orange-white top just gives it away in my opinion...
There was some talk about Ideological dependent Wonders. If that winds up being the case, the Statue of Liberty and the Kremlin/St. Basil's are on this list, but what would the third one be?
I can't really see any of the rest being the wonder for Totalitarianism. Nothing Fascist in the list. Unless Archivo General de Indios is the Totalitarian wonder.
If that Pier can support all thos ebuilding It must be built out of Nokia phones!
I expect it's a Governor ability, letting you build Entertainment Districts on water with a different selection of buildings.
That's what I believed at first, but the more I think it might not be the case due to all of the buildings. I'm certain it lets you get amenities from entertainment, but doesn't amenities tie in with loyalty anyway? I'm now picturing it might be called a Boardwalk Pier and produce tourism as well. Sounds a lot better than Pleasure Pier which is what I thought of first because that's the name of one I've been too. "Come take a walk on the Boardwalk."
sure it's not district or improvement?
It's an incredibly specific representation of one particular station. I think most of us agree here that it is a Wonder.
It's interesting how before the First Look most of the people here agreed that this is an improvement
What? No. You are confusing it with the mysterious building.
if hosoni kubwa is the actual wonder then i hop they'll add the swahili/kilwa as a civilization,i mean i would add them just because baba yetu is in kiswahili, but if that's the case then we'll see canada too.
Oh. Sorry. I skipped some comments, so I'm quite confused
I'm going to come down on the side of the pier being an entertainment district with updated placement rules, probably as a result of a governor ability. Building placement would be a bit awkward, but it still seems much more likely than having an entirely new district share so much aesthetically and thematically with one of the existing districts.
That's my guess. I'd also would potentially guess the Dutch with the ability to build districts on coastal tiles, but that wouldn't make sense with the American model for the entertainment district (unless it's a multiple use implementation ala the holy sites culture bomb).
Edit: I'm thinking they really could add that ability for the Dutch and then also give it to a governor as well. Though as Eagle Pursuit noted, that would be potentially a lot of extra work graphics wise for a limited use case.
And how about this one?
Looks like Mausoleum of Halicarnassus
It is. The MoH is not in R&F. It's from the Macedon/Persia DLC.
