[R&F] Rise and Fall Screenshot discussion

If this turns out to be the complete Wonder list for R&F, what are the "obvious" wonders we'd still be missing?

Taj Mahal
Machu Picchu
Notre Dame
The Louvre
???
Base game, several DLC, expansion, and still no Gothic cathedrals. (And no, Mont St. Michel is Carolingian, not Gothic.)

And how about this one?
aN3dIBd.png

Looks like Mausoleum of Halicarnassus
That came with Persia/Macedon DLC.

That's my guess. I'd also would potentially guess the Dutch with the ability to build districts on coastal tiles, but that wouldn't make sense with the American model for the entertainment district (unless it's a multiple use implementation ala the holy sites culture bomb).

Edit: I'm thinking they really could add that ability for the Dutch and then also give it to a governor as well. Though as Eagle Pursuit noted, that would be potentially a lot of extra work graphics wise for a limited use case.

Dutch UA. I like that idea.

I wanted to make this list into a thread, but not until all Civs are revealed. I'm not sure if this counts as part of the topic. Can someone tell me if I could make this into a separate thread?

Although there is lot of stuff in these screenshots there is actually lot of stuff we still dont know. 1 new District, 1 new Unique district, several new Natural wonders, new policies, new cassus belli and 14 buildings. On top of all the new Civs/leaders and their unique buildings/units/improvements etc. I would guess that possibly 9 out of those 14 buildings are connected to government district. One for every government. I remember they said somewhere that government district has lot of building options.

I guess there has been no clues what this new unknown district might be? Some of those new buildings might be for that. Would spy district make sense?

Also that new unique district is probably commercial hub district / encampment district. The encampment district might for the Zulus or for the Mongols. On the other hand there are lots of potential commercial Civs like Morocco, the Dutch, Portuguese etc.

Wait, new casus belli? I haven't heard that.

Also, there's a good chance the new district is that amusement pier.

In the end of this video he mentions the new Casus Belli, new leader agendas and new government policies. 6:34-

We also know the two improvements - the park and the fishery. But we don't know the actual names for sure.

There is already a stickied thread (maintained by bite) that is intended to catalog the main features of the expansion. You should post in that thread if you have suggestions for things to add. See https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/rise-and-fall-features-thread.624895/

EDIT: I see that CPWimmer beat me to it. :goodjob:

Wait now that i thought a little about date palms being a new resource, in my language(and some others) it's called Tamaras from arab التمر "Tamar"
Tamar of Georgia confirmed?
The Georgian name Tamar does indeed come from the Hebrew name Tamar, "date palm," so...yes. :D

Is the resource in this screenshot next to the city the one we're calling turtles? Cause it looks a bit more like a coral reef or something to me.

Are you sure the government district is tied to the governments? I mean to my knowledge it is tied to the new governors rather than being tied to the governments. Do you have anything to support this idea? I admit I'm surprised there are so relativity many new buildings in this expansion. Happy..!! :)

I didn't notice this tile before. I wondering what that is  No, it's the resource just above the entertainment pier.

It could be that the reef is a new terrain feature and that turtles are a resource that can spawn on them

The quote from PC Gamer is:
The most prominent of the new districts being added (and the one we were allowed to hear about) is the Government District. There can be only one of these in your entire civ, and it interacts directly with the updated government system. Based on your current government type, you will be able to build a number of new buildings in your government district, each of which unlocks policy cards.
