[R&F] Rise and Fall Screenshot discussion

Yes, the roads connect to the model because governor reasons is my only caveat for WSP not being a Wonder.
In the article you link to in a previous post it states litteraly as improvement. The governor is also related to fish farm and more builder charges. Otherwise I was thinking whether it could be a district rather than a wonder, like how aquaducts are.

You misunderstand. I'm suggesting that, while City Parks exist, what we are seeing in this screenshot isn't one. But rather, it is a Washington Square Park Wonder, since the roads interact with it as if it is a Wonder rather than an improvement.

The caveat is that if what is shown here is actually a City Park, then maybe the roads work like they do with Wonders because it has "governor improvement specialness".

Or city parks always have roads beneath them, which wouldn‘t be unthinkable.

That would be another form of "Specialness". It's possible, but my friend Occam doesn't like it.

Even if the jetty is not part of a dock, why would america have it? :p
who knows? why would they have a feitoria?

could be just that these screenshots aren't from real games and show impossible situations. or some new mechanism. we really don't know.

I think people are dismissing this one too quickly. Even one of the top google image searches for Hammam has a big blue dome. Maybe it's not a dock at all, maybe it's a water pipe system.

Honestly who knows. But this has been one of the better speculation threads I can remember :)

I would go for a han (Ottoman Caravanserai) in that case, since those are housing a hammam inside. It would explain the fortification, but still not the docks. The architecture still does not look very Ottoman with that bright blue dome, maybe Seljuq since they were a Turko-Persian empire with more influences of Persian architecture. But I still do not think this is the case.

The more I think about it maybe it is a Feitora. This might be a stretch but what if Lisbon stays in the game as a city-state and the suzerain bonus is you can build them on the coast as an improvement and they give you another copy of a luxury resource that they have (in this case Citrus).

I hope the wonders are actual wonders and not that stupid park, that Ferris Wheel Pier and that supposedly Feitoria unique improvement. We already have Kremlin, Temple of Artemis (or Statue of Zeus), Archive General Des Indies, Statue of Liberty, Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Chateau Frontenac and that Buddha Statue. I'm really worried about our wonders we get. Some seem a bit too far-fetched.

Yes, I did misunderstand. But I dislike the idea of a modern city park of any city or country as a wonder. I hope that is not the case, but it could be the case of course.

The problem is however, that if the city park and fish farms are improvements, as stated in the link, then there are no other improvements. The only option for the feitoria then is that it is a unique district, but as replacement of which district (if any)?

Sometimes but its more fun to just steal them! So many people are down on spies but they are awesome!! And France with a free early spy that comes with a promotion! yummy!

I tried to steal a Great Work of Art once with a spy. They either got captured or killed. I gave up on doing that since then.

You should give it a try again because you certainly can steal them, and it is so much fun, but your have a better chance with the right policy and unit upgrade. After a while, your spy is really powerful.

In that case, if there are no new improvements for city-states maybe Portugal is going to be in the game. If all else that screenshot might not even show the city that it belongs to and is even further south of the picture.

There are only eight new World Wonders being added. If all those you listed, Washington Square Park, Amusement Park, and Feitoria thingy are all world wonders, that would be ten wonders. Two of them aren't world wonders.

I'm leaning towards Theodosian Walls wonder. It seems to resemble some of the images on Wikipedia. It has all of the elements. I'm just not seeing the resemblance to Feitorias.
