I may be a newbie to the CFC bandwagon, but have fallen in love with this game and would love a shot at running one. Seeing as it's Roll To Dodge 27 (!) it's evidently rather popular, so let's see what we can do!

I've nabbed rules etc off another recent game to help both me and you get started!

This is a simple game based off the original Roll to Dodge by Seon, and its evolution under Thorvald of Lym

The Rules are pretty simple:

1. Post an action.
2. Your result will be determined by the roll of a die.

Any action that triggers a third-party attack on the player immediately grants a free defense roll.

'Ludicrous Edition' increases the variability of results with a 20-sided die (actually a short Python script) that in addition to establishing the immediate success of an action, also determines random items found, health/power/money gained/lost, etc. The basic breakdown is as follows:

1 : Unbelievably total failure. Action WILL backfire.
2-4 : Failure, with penalty
5-7 : Marginal failure with possible penalty
8-10 : Failure, no penalty
11-13 : Straightforward success
14-16 : Success, with possible bonus
17-19 : Success, with circumstantial bonus
20 : MAXIMUM POWER. Guaranteed success, with added bonus.

Under binary conditions, 1-10 fails, 11-20 succeeds. 50% chance either way!

Note that attempting an action requiring an intermediate action (i.e. starting a car with no keys) automatically fails. Also note that the same action cannot be taken twice in a row.

#I quote all the actions and work down through them. Because of this the order of peoples posts are important. You cannot effect a roll happening before you, but you might affect all those afterwards..First come, first served. So get your actions in early!

Each player may submit one action per turn. I'll update as soon as I possibly can, I'm on here enough . The game is played until one player remains alive.

I find a crack in the cage and go through.

3: You get stuck trying to escape and scathe your leg badly, a lion noticing in the process... (-3hp, -4hp to your dice roll for any attempt at escape)

I use my superior human intellect to build a fire to repel the lions.

7: Your superior human intellect is actually just a very bad headache and no fire is built.

19: You are the devil. All devilish actions gain +2 and +2 to fire resistance.

I use brilliant timing to collapse a tree nearby onto the lion.

16: The tree collapses! The lion yelps in agony as you dance around him celebrating!

3: The clapping irritates the lion so much that he bites you on the hand. You are bleeding. (-3hp, -2hp/per turn for bleeding)

I thought he would learn to love me and mah sick beatz. Apparently not.

In an attempt to get the lion to like me better, I pull out 3 hairs from my scalp and offer them to the lion, slowly, always slowly.
