SheepNES Sign Up: Warhammer NES.

Git yer weapons ready, orcs, cause weza gunna go wit Grimshaw and git us a WAAAGH!

OOC: Do you have a link for a bio of Grimshaw? I am not sure who he is. I know of a couple other orc warlords, but not sure if I remember Grimshaw.

My French-French, er, Brety-Bret Humans are vastly superior to your /regular/ humans, which are vastly superior to elves and orcs and crap. We can surrender 50 times faster than the second quickest to surrender, yet, if we get a foreigner (Napoleon was Corsican) to rule us, we simply own.

Yeah I mean 18

24. South Kingdom Ogres.

We will feed the Great Maw with our enemies.

There will be a points based system that is tied into economy for recruitment and what not. Rules are to be expected in about a weeks time. Launch will occur either then or when we hit at least 10 players.

I've got a couple of questions about how the game will run.
1. How important will story writing being? Will there be any bonuses, of will we just be awesome?
2. How easily will expansion be handled? Will entire regions be conquered easily in a couple of updates, or will taking over a single Dwarven city or Imperial province be considered a major victory?
3. How fast do you expect this game to be?
4. Are Estalia and Tilea unified states in this game?

I'm interested in playing Marienburg depending on the answers. As much as I'd love to do Kislev, I don't have the time to write the stories I'd like for them.

If I am Marienburg, I petition for the following changes to the Marienburg units:
Hellblaster and Steam Tank removed, replaced with some sort of fast, light ship and Den Euwe House Guards as special units. I want the Den Euwe to play a very large part. The unit would be a sort of hybrid Nipponese-Marienburger elite warrior. Ulric isn't big in Marienburg, so maybe Manann templars instead? A sort of templar marine. I'd dig up the name but my WFRP books are in storage half a world away.

What exactly are Imperial Guard? Are they like Greatswords?

1. Stories of sufficent quality will attract bonuses throughout the game, either being units, money, spells or a mixture of these.
2. Expansion will vary at times, depending on the generalship of both sides, the overall situation and the 'local factors'. Often this will mean that a major city's capture will mean a great victory, were sometimes it could mean an entire province. There will also be rules for continued occupation of lands not your own.... I mean there is a reason why nations havent gotten bigger than they are already at this stage of technology.
3. At worst one update every week.
4. Yes, although during the game there is a possibility of them being somewhat factious.

What countries are still available?

Have to say it feels somewhat unbalanced to me as well. I know that that stuff exists and all in warhammer but...Oh well here goes nothing.

I suppose I should wait for an answer to my pm.

Do you doubt the will of Sigmar?

Shouldn't us Ogres also have Gorgers or possibly Slave Giants? Also, I'm not exactly a Warhammer expert, so please excuse me if this is a stupid question, but where would Greasus Goldtooth and Skrag the Slaughterer be right now? I assume Greasus would be the ruler of one of the Ogre kingdoms, seeing as how that's kind of his thing. And would Skrag just be wandering around or something?

Or are either of those guys even in existence in this NES? Sorry, I've never actually played Warhammer, but I've read a good deal of stuff about it and it interests me.

I'm sure I have my Ogre Kingdom's army book around here somewhere...

An army of peasants? Right next to possibly the strongest human faction, who have freaking TANKS!? Are you /trying/ to get me killed in the first turn?

Bretonnia has a proud tradtion of feudal chivarlic warfare, and cannot abide by gunpowder, and the Empire's Steam Tanks are somewhat unreliable at the best of times. I wouldnt worry about falling behind, tech wise, as technological progression will be somwhat stunted if it appears at all in this game.

Ogres are one of the races I am least familiar with. If you can PM me some details on different troops types from the Warhammer game, I would be happy to have a look at updating this list for you. The same goes for several others, so any army list requests should be PMed... I will try to include all but the most outrageous legitimate attempts. I am also planning on developing a stand-alone Cathyian troop list as some interesting details have emerged overnight.
