Shopping Thread .. or What Did You Buy?

Left-handed laptop bed tables that are 22 to 23 inches wide. Does such a thing exist?

Everything I find that's over 20 inches has a wrist guard or mouse pad built into the right side of the table.

Ikea has them. I was there yesterday and saw them. They work for both hands.

The Swedes did it again!

I think I might end up at an IKEA at the end of December... I'll check it out, thanks.

Flannel lined jeans for the win.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with Wraith Spire Cooler and The Outer Worlds
ASUS ROG Strix 470-F Gaming motherboard
G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 RAM, 8GBx2

I may have gone a little overboard. My wallet is smoking. I think I'll be eating ramen noodles and PB&J sandwiches while I play The Outer Worlds.

Your wallet will eventually refill, and your machine will still be smoking. ;)

"Wraith Spire Cooler"

It's just a fan, isn't it?

*googles*

Yup, just a fan. Waste of a good name.
I know, right? I could write a whole, scary D&D adventure, just from the name "Wraith Spire." And what do they do? It's just a fan. No wraiths. Plastic, mostly.

I'm buying a rear bicycle wheel. Not sure how much it's going to cost, I'll get an estimate when I bring it in tomorrow. I'm guessing it will be in the neighborhood of $200 or so. Not quite enough to justify buying a whole new bike but still more than I want to spend. I'll have to make sure I get the tension in the spokes adjusted on it after riding it for a while to avoid breaking all the spokes again.

At least this gives me an excuse to get out of the house and actually do something.

There's another possibility. You could learn to ride a unicycle, so you'd only have one wheel to worry about.

Just checking my Amazon orders history ... I've made 289 purchases so far in 2019. And that's purchases, not items ... many had multiple items in them. Well that's nearly one purchase per day, and only from one website. Ooooh I do wish they told you how much total you've spent (or maybe I don't want to know? :rotfl:)

Most recently I ordered a new winter hat, and some mittens, and a scarf thing that also has a hood and is faux-fur. Need to be both cozy and fashionable! It's starting to get chilly out there :)

My god. I've only made 29. A solid half of those are just ebooks too, which are limited to one per order.

And I've barely begun my Christmas Shopping!

I have my credit card points to cash in ... I'll probably do that next week. I have enough right now for $1800 in Amazon gift cards.

Either you have a great points offer on your card or you spend a lot on the card. I moved almost all my spending to my credit card and I think my annual cashback next month will still only get me $80 or so.

I get 6 points per dollar spent, and I need 40,000 points for a $100 Amazon gift card. So I guess that means I spent ... $120,000? Well that's not at all true, I also get a lot of "promotional" points for opening new accounts, and other things too, that will like double my points earned some months. I also take advantage of special offers (like 100 points per dollar for shopping at certain places, etc)

I do almost everything through my credit card, all my bills are on auto-pay, etc, which really helps a lot.

I beg everyone to please avoid Amazon if at all possible especially during the holidays

Amazon is probably my primary shopping source; I love their prices, selection, refund policy, and fast shipping. They also have far and away the best customer service of anywhere I've ever been to.

Do you know anything about how Amazon treats its workers though?
