Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 13th of August 2013

1) No
2) I would have thought so
3) See if it makes any difference
4) Not so confident that you should spend real money on a new one based on that - I just don't see an alternative is all
5) Hard to say - you're not that deep into the game, and I'm not seeing other people with a similar problem, but on the other had I don;t really see anything special about that game
6) Unlikely, but not wholey impossible

Thanks, Koshling. I'll let you know if I discover anything. And I'll check back here from time to time, in case you come up with anything else for me to try.

Using SVN 6100 I found this thing

all the promotins related to mesopotamism (Assistance of Inanna, Enlil and so on) require tengriism and not mesopotamism (see the pic)

Is this intended, or is it an error?

@Koshling i checked with and without graphic paging - Bad allocation in both situations

also - then i turned paging OFF - it say "changed from none to false" why none (it was tuned ON)?

Rev 6140
The picture for "Can build a Wooden Watchtower" in the research tree is a pink blob.

Got a CTD when playing a game, then trying to RE-load a different autosavged game in its place.

Do you have a pair of saves (load one, then re-load the other) that makes this reproducible? The minidump isn't giving much away I'm afraid.

I'm not sure what to suggest (it gets into WB ok for me). Is it happening for you on any map/game or is it specific to this one?

I assume you're using the latest SVN without any changes to the WB code (we changed to using Platyping's version of WB about a month ago, which is different to the previous one)?

It happening on any map\game
yes it is latest svn without any manual changes from my side.
viewports turned off by default

Great news! On a hunch I checked my video card drivers, and it turned out they were a year or so out of date. So I downloaded the most up to date Catalyst drivers, tried it, and I got past the CTD location! Hopefully that was the source of all of my problems, and C2C will work smoothly from here on out.

BTW Our latest debug version of the dll is over 10 days old.
I ALWAYS update this whenever I commit code so its up to date now.

However,

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL

You may well need to delete your cache file to get the game to load after my last commit. It seems the caching system doesn't like it when you move a file like UnitCombatInfos to a more appropriate location. Does fine if you delete the cache and reload though.

Well, all is not quite roses.

It turns out that the new video card drivers do not play well with the 3 GB switch. If I boot with the 3 GB switch, all graphics are slow (even in Windows) and it won't even let me start the game. Near as I can tell, it's basically as if I didn't even have a video card. So I have to boot without that switch.

When I boot without the 3 GB switch, I am getting periodic "memory allocation" errors which cause crashes to desktop. Oddly, it doesn't seem like any dump file is created, or I would have attached one. Is that likely to be unavoidable now, or is there anything I can do?
