1) I was under the impression that the terrain damage function also gave units immunity to damage from terrains in their source city - so if a city had snow in its vicinity then all units built there would be immune to snow damage.
2) Other than that it should kill units.
But then how do you explain people living in that environment, from another culture ??
If a unit is built there then it has the training etc to survive in neighbouring terrains. If you move a unit there from a totally different city it wont have the same skills. Perhaps when we have the equipment promotions they can get those promotions but for now it is more realistic as it is.

Is it possible to disable buildable cultures and heroes and limit them to their own civs ? Old system where each civ had it's own fixed special units and buildings was much more sensible.

After 7275 update Knights can not heal and the heal button is missing when you click on the unit. They also sometimes display as a Crussaire's with arms held straight out from the sides when this occurs. Even bringing them into a city to heal does not help.
Once in the city if you click on the units in the city you get the crussaire/knight with arms out but no other units icons are listed in the city screen.
You also can not update a Knight to Crussaire or Dragoon if it is wounded/taken damage.
So in my game im playing with a bunch of custom civs, so im keeping the custom at 7207 and updating the rest, but it seems updating the core dll causes my game to run suuuuuuper slow. You know that building problem i talked about a while back, and im wondering if anybody can help me with this problem because that means i cant get the updated buildings you guys posted.
I'll be working with Koshling to see what can be done about this.I had to quit my game also because of the SLOWNEST of the new dll a while back, and the hesitation it now does, something is very very very bad about the dll????
EDIT: Seriously, there is some wrong with the dll, i am in Ancient Era and it is taking over 1 minute per turn, were as it usually would only take 10-15 secondsOnly a Large map, 7 civs, largest civ has only like 7-9 cities, i DONT have on Size Matters or the Combat Mod stuff..
Yep... sounds like some schemas need updating for sure. Interesting that the load doesn't let me know that anymore, even on a debug run. I noticed DH had a similar issue. I'll see if I can fix this tonight.Getting a reproducible freeze playing on SVN7278. Attached a savegame, hang occurs right after hitting the next turn.
Going into WB and killing all of the other civilization seems to allow the game to continue to the next turn, where a technology leader report shows up, so that *might* be related to the problem.
