Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 24th of February 2014

Is it a bug that even after building Tengrii Horse Trainer I still need to build a Horse Trainer to train Horsemen? (It is State Religion)

No, it is Not a bug. It's how the Tengrii religion works to provide horse units. And Yes you need to build the horse trainer too, to finish the process.

The Tengrii Horse Trainer is a religious building that allows access to horse in the city it is built in. Once you have "access" thru the THT then you build your Horse Trainer Bldg to get your units. That is how it's always been set up. Tengrii doesn't get Temples or Monasteries they get the THT and 2 Special Horse Promotions.

@SO, a pic of his Capital won't reveal a thing. It's learning How this particular Religion and it's Special Buildings work.

Now if you have a horse resource in a city fat X you can still build the normal Horse Farm and then Horse Trainer for Horsemen units even if Tengrii is there or not. If the religion is there and it's your State Religion you can by pass the Horse Farm. But I build it too anyways for the Hammer production it provides.

Well, if a building is showing up because it has military flavour or advisor, but it should not be, because it is not meant to be a military building? Then obviously something is wrong with the flavour or advisor in the first place.

You'd think but there could still be some extraneous stuff.

Makes me wonder about the AI itself though and if it would take a lot of processing that would slow things down for the filtering is it having any easier time selecting the building for that reason? Sounds like it could be a VERY slow implementation there considering how powerful the slightest optimization or extension to building evals can be to turn times.

Perhaps it may be best to program the tag to come from the building info rather than the unit info... I've done this on numerous occasions to take from building tags that refer to traits over to trait tags that refer to buildings and so on. So it would be a pretty simple procedure.
 
I"m having some trouble with BUG. Apparently it doesn't want to work when I check it for don't show unavailable buildings or units. I just installed the latest SVN, so do I need to give logging information or anything?

Those are no longer done via the BUG options. They are on the filters for each in the city screen. The first button in the filter turns them on/off.

You do not know how scared I was when that option did not seem to work.

(Oh no! I installed it wrong, now I must wait three hours for it to download again!:eek:)
Is there any other major change since v34, because that was what I was using untill today.
Maybe a FAQ or readme?:D

The game was hanging, but in the v34, I havent played enough to see if it will hang yet,
and I have never seen it hang because of BUG in v34. For the SVN not yet.:thanx:

Here is the Best Advice on how to play, Just Play it and Play it for Fun! See how it unfolds. Don't try to pidgeon hole it like vanilla BtS. Be adaptive as you play and see what shakes out. It's much more fun with this approach.

I was mostly referring to the change in how the game works, like how I need to not use BUG anymore to hide buildings and units that are unproducible .

The save won't even load - there seems to be a problem with a group asking what activity it's on and oddly, the group seems defined but the activity is not. I tried a few things but was still unable to repair it so I could even load it. I think it's a corruption on this save but I'm a little lost here to be honest. The probability is whatever caused a problem took place before the save was generated. Therefore I'm unable to really determine the issue but this provides clues.

Can YOU load this save at all without it crashing on load?
 
Attached a repeatable Ctd.

I did start a new game with the 35civs dll.
To experince the CtD just move the Catamaran south-west (or simply press 1 :))

Could not replicate the crash. Would need more specific directions. However, if it's an art problem it COULD be that I'm not able to replicate because I don't have all the civ files you've got active there and when I load the game they all get replaced by core civs.
 
Had this happen when i was going from one game to another but at least they all started in the main menu 1st: Might be something, might not??

Mini couldn't tell me anything sorry.

FYI, I started a New game with 7762 this morning and have been playing off and on all day. I'm at 5585BC and No problems have been encountered, None! Good Job there buddy!

Although I was taken by surprise by the new way the mod takes you directly into the city screen when your build que is empty. But it's not hard to adjust to.

I believe that's a bug option on the C2C page.
 
I'll have to check that out then, did not know there where new BUG options as well.

I'm also trying SO's New Option and OMG!!! :crazyeye:
