Single Player bugs and crashes v35 plus (SVN) - After the 18th of August 2014

Keep getting a crash even after I updated. Keeps throwing out this error code:

That error comes from the GreatPeopleScreen, it calls for a Interface ArtInfo with an empty string in case a UNIT_GREAT_DOCTOR is born.

Ok its fixed now but I think I need recheck again other great people units too. Can be problem same like with Great Doctors :/
 
I can't seem to form a religion on the latest SVN version (8260).

I've been playing quite consistently over the last two weeks with several of the SVN versions over that time span and never ran into this problem until a few versions back. Now when I go to found Druidism nothing happens. The tech fires but the religion is not created. It also wasn't previously created before (ie. It appears that I am the first to found the religion). No crash to desktop or anything - it's just as if the tech no longer fires the event to form the holy city.

I first ran into this issue yesterday with a new game. I was using all the same settings and options as I had been over the last several weeks with the exception of a different map type, different civ, and I had turned off Religious Decay. I then started a new game today with Religious Decay turned on to see if that was the deciding factor and ended up with the same result.

I can't confirm whether or not this happens with religions other than Druidism, as that's the only one I was researching in either example.

I have included a save of my latest game. I saved it on the turn before Druidism is researched. According to the first post in this thread I'm supposed to mention that my mods folder is saved as "c2c" rather than the default "caveman2cosmos". I don't believe it matters being that there was no actual crash, but I've included the MiniDump file as well just in case. I didn't have logging enabled but I assume that you can diagnose that for yourselves with the save game.

Settings can obviously be looked up on the save, but it was a huge map, snail pace, monarch difficulty, with a bunch of custom options enabled. As I said before, I had used the same loadout as of a few days ago and didn't have any problems forming a religion - though I had never attempted to form Druidism in any of those games (though they were formed by other civs successfully).

Thanks so much for putting all of your collective hard work into this amazing mod. I cannot believe how far you guys have pushed this old game well beyond its limits!

I am also getting a Waiting for Civs loop at end of turn, ie their turn does not end.

edit save now attached. just press end of turn. it id repeatable
 
Hello,

I get a CTD without error message on end of turn in my current game. The minidump states that the thread tried to read memory it doesn't have access to. The game uses about 900 MB of memory the moment it crashes and I have more than 6 GB of free memory available.
I tried enabling ViewPorts, but that doesn't seem to help one bit.

I have included my savegame (just press enter to crash), the minidump and all logs the game generated.

Did something happen to the "turn times" it seems now it takes 2-3 times longer??

I am getting no UI to appear with the most recent SVN versions of this mod, which didn't happen previously. As I've not changed any settings and I've completely reinstalled the SVN version, I am a bit confused as to what could be causing this. Civ IV and other mods also are working fine. Any ideas?

It usually means some corrupted python or just a code error in the python. Did you get any error messages?

I've also routinely run into this problem when starting a new game on the last several versions of the SVN. I'm not sure how to actually resolve it but a workaround that has always worked for me is to just save the game, exit back to desktop, and then reload. The UI has always reappeared for me after taking those steps and I haven't run into the same problem other than when starting a new game.
 
EoT Hang. No minidump file created. Just click red EoT button and it hangs.

This savegame was updated to SVN 8259 yesterday or the day before. Started with SVN 8248.

Both Bug crushers are rather busy in Real Life and it maybe this weekend before some of this gets looked at. It happens from time to time.

You may want to export an earlier version of the SVN and use it to see if you can make progress on your game.

My current game is stuck on a End of Turn (EoT) hang and No minidump was created, so I'm considering to move back a few SVN version and see if I can get past the problem.

I've got a concept of why the hang is taking place now but the fix will take more consideration. It should be stemming from my last update and it's a fairly innocent (as in it would've been hard to guess the changes would've caused this issue without it coming up in testing right away) issue... and it may take me a day or so to try to figure out how to properly correct it. Has to do with units trying to join the great hunter (who doesn't exactly call for them to do so - and that may represent the 'fix' is to change the way that's taking place - been getting some counseling on the contract broker from both koshling and alberts and I may yet be able to get my initial concept to work a bit better now) then the way the general asks for one to come join him and lead him off on a hunting expedition and how that becomes a clash when the GH has other units already along with him. A rather odd clash... just a strange sequence of events that I still need to explore a bit deeper. Suffice it to say the GH gets stuck in an inifinite loop of joining and abandoning the grouping with the general so far as I can tell.
 
I found some bugs in Great People screen naming but atm cannot fix them now (got small health problems). Ill try to fix them in next week.

I reverted to SVN 8250 and have been able to continue my game. :)

the 1+ :hammers: to engineers of Great wall wonder don't works. Dont work to the great enginner and to specialist.
