Thanks Joe!

Actually, that mini goes straight to the heart of the issue. I can do something to help with this fairly easily but it does mean that NPCs past barbs may not have quite as much military organization and planning, which seems fine for now.

Hi.

Two bugs to report from SVN 9127 (9127 is NOT when this bug originated!! ).

-Using starting option "Start as minor civ" does not seem to work properly, or at all.
As a player you can talk to civs without writing and you are not in constant war with them. Plus I used a BUG option so that you as player don´t see minor civs in score board. That dose not work either.

-Some (or all) animals create alert when close to borders even with BUG option "Ignore harmless barbarians" on.
I play with BUG option "Ignore harmless barbarians". Which should cancel barbarians that can´t cross borders to don´t create a warning. Some do now.

Note: There been some updates that breaked saved games, but I have experienced that a savefile became corrupted and game crash on loading without SVN update between game sessions.
Perhaps this is something to look in to.

I´ll keep playing on this game for a while to see if I can find something more.

SVN 9127 CTD during loading

In the zip file there are 3 saves and a minidump. The txt file contains the options I use.

'Attila BC-12850' is the last save that I can load without CTD (if I doesn't do a recalc). If I hit the End Turn button and I save the game I get the 'Attila BC-12800' save. If I try to load it, it crashes.

If I do a recalc before I hit the End Turn button, and in the next turn I save I get the 'Attila BC-12800b' save. I can load it without a problem.

Edit: I played a little more and I reached a point where the game breaks for good. I uploaded the last working save in the LoadCTD2.zip file. There is no working save beyond this point. It doesn't matter what I do. I tried to recalc in every turn, I tried to make different decisions in the same situations.

Can´t load saved game.

Last SVN update 9127.

Clearify: I updated SVN this morning (CET), started the game, in ancient era (Not prehistoric). I played for a couple of hours.
Saved
Tried to load the save and the game crashed.

This is the second save this is happend on. The other time is was with an SVN version from a couple of days ago, where the steps where the same and the result the same.
Update SVN, start game, play a couple of hours, save, Load and crash.

Although Loffas the Team has stated before that starting in any Era but Prehistoric May and must likely Will give you problems. So by starting in Ancient you should expect that.

JosEPh :)

I think WE are getting pass that problem stuff when starting in different era's. Of course, u wont get it the way its intended, but i have now tried era's Ancient, Classical, and now Medieval and have gotten NO problems at all.:)

I have 9127 and save of the date 02/08/2016 (svn 9080), year 3643 BC

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpo...postcount=1432 not working

no chance to continue the game save 9080 for svn 9127? I started this game 08/16/2015 :(

the error message we are talking about "specialunit_naval_mine"

To continue your game from August revert back to revision 9088.

There have been several SVN Versions that Have been posted with Warnings that they would Break Save Game Compatibility.

As to Usul13 and Loffas, the steps I out lined have allowed me to continue games that were Started with 9126 and 9127, not games Started before 9126. There is one more step that may help and that is to Clear the cache for BtS found in Apps\Roaming.

Otherwise IF both your game were started before SVN 9126 Revert Back to previous working version you were using.

I started that game with SVN 9127 so that's not an issue in my case. I'll try the cache clearing later today.

Note:
I have found one of the problem spots for loading with new games on the latest assets. I'll have that committed here shortly but there could be more. I'll test the saves reported after that, including SO's infinite loop, and see what more I can find and fix.

This will take a lot of review to figure out where things went wrong here. I'm sure it's a couple logic flaws somewhere, but many of them could be in python and/or the code so it's going to take some serious investigation. I'll be looking into this.

I found the problem here and it'll be fixed in the next update. Was a simple logic flaw.

EoT loop stalls after clicking on end turn????
Just tested on the latest dll and I'm not sure how it was fixed or what the original problem was but the save does not manifest this problem now.

It looks like your last load there was struggling with the same issue that Joe earlier posted about. I fixed that bug and your last game now loads on the latest assets.

I have built Palace in another city (trying to build Apadana palace in former capital), but my old capital showing silver star to it's name and still have Palace listed in wonders. I have to remove it manually in WB.

Is it intended? That way i can build palace in every of my cities...

I'll be looking into this when I can. I'm just bumping this for myself as it is still an outstanding bug.

Ok, at the moment, aside from finding a slight potential issue and correcting it in the code (will be included on the next commit) I've tested a start as minors game and all of the above reported issues are not problems at this time. However, it MAY be an issue that doesn't naturally clear up with the latest dll but rather just doesn't manifest on a new game created with the latest SVN version.

If you can still replicate these issues, I'll need a save to see them in action. Even the bug option works (though it's funny... it cuts out your listing on the scoreboard as well... lol.)

Yeah allright. I start a new game and check. And yeah you are not on the scoreboard because you are a minor civ. So it´s empty in the begining :)
