Single Player bugs and crashes v38 plus (SVN) - After the 20th of February 2018

While I am happy to see this mod still alive and old bugs actually fixed, I did get into repeatable CTD one era further (classic) than I was able to get before, save file attached, should be repeatable by ending turn.
I could continue game normally.
Press ctrl+shift+t to recalculate variables.

stone tool workshop, i believe is not working correctly??? i know it has been over 10 turns since i placed them here, and it says they should become mines after that??

If I recall correctly you need a renaissance tech (or was it industrial?) to outright build a mountain mine. Oh and it looks to be too far from a city.

You need Medieval tech - Mountaineering to build mountain mine.
That tile might be simply not worked by city.

ok, then i also NO longer get the "trumpets" or whatever that sound is when i ask another civ to "declare war" on one of my enemy's, and i look the next turn and they r at war also??
Yeah I think I had noticed that a while back and wondered what happened to it. I wonder if it's a code issue... could well be, unless the sound file was replaced.

The game causes CTD. Once I press ENTER turn of my civilization passes (I see that I'm closer to research Motion Pictures), then after some time CTD occurs.
This happen both in build 10225 and in build 10230.

Delete cache
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\My Games\Beyond the Sword
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword

Recalculate variables (ctrl+shiftr+t)

Revolutions themselves also may cause issues.

Thanks.
I've deleted content of cache directory in:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\My Games\Beyond the Sword
I do not have cache directory in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword

I have recalculated variables.
No success.

Thanks for suggestions anyway (my be helpful in other cases).

Get Toffer's Interference Overhaul modmod - it might fix crash - I could continue game normally.

Should I replace a files in
Assets
Resource
with these found in PPIO v0.5.9.6.7.2 in a.7z
?

or should I place

Assets
Resource
from PPIO v0.5.9.6.7.2 in a.7z
in other directory (which)?

In first case I got two GFC Errors, when Beyond The Sword tries to start (I have reverted changes to be able to start Beyond The Sword correctly).

Of course you unpack it in mod folder.

Its modmod :p

That usually means that your C2C mod folder isn't named exactly "Caveman2Cosmos".
Lot's of obscure errors can be caused by not naming the mod folder correctly. With my modmod the errors becomes less obscure, more like an "in your face" thing when trying to start the game.

@ Toffer90
Game starts as:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\Caveman2Cosmos
so presumably mod directory is named exactly "Caveman2Cosmos"

@raxo2222
Thanks for patience for noob (I was confused because there was not [empty] "modmod" directory in my SVN installation of C2C).
I have copied:

Assets
Resource

to modmod
deleted all content of UserSettings directory
and copied Caveman2Cosmos Config.ini to Caveman2Cosmos and finally deleted cache.
Beyond the Sword starts correctly and loads saved game.
Then recalculation of variables has been made.

After pressing ENTER the game ultimately CTD (albeit it behaves slightly differently; I got displayed some Python Error messages in HUD, not displayed before).

Presumably yes, but it would be easier to just say that the mod folder path is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos
^^
It's also important that you do not install C2C here:
"Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\MODS\Caveman2Cosmos\".

First of all path is way too long - it might cause issues.
It should be something like C:\Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe

Second: mod folder must be here:
Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos\ mod stuff like assets and other things

Third:
Yyou unpack modmod directly to that mod folder.

Is the path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos
too long?
Does it make a sense to reinstall BtS 4 to a different location, like C:\Program Files (x86)\Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\

I have created a symbolic link (not shortcut) to actual location used by TortoiseSVN (that does not require an administrative privileges to be written) and deleted the link in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\MODS\

Yes its too long.

Don't use any links just regular folder for mod here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods

Run in admin mode.
