Build number is the last SVN revision that the dll was compiled in. The revision where the dll was last built, hence build number.Or are the SVN number and the build number different things?

Can you upload save? Some time ago my game was running just fine. I could play 1,5 hours straight without single crash.
Starting from update like a 3 (maybe 4) weeks ago game started to CTD on me regularly every 2-5 turns. Really drives me mad. I've cleared cache, I've started a new game. Same result. I really want previous stability.
Here is the link to most recent MiniDump. If it helps.
8 Gb RAM, Win10 64 bit.Can you upload save?
How much RAM do you have?
4 GB and 32 bit windows is not enough - 8 GB and 64bit windows should be much better, as game can always freely use up to 2.9 GB of RAM.
As if game can't negotiate with Windows or can't use virtual (disk) "RAM"
Playing with 15 AIs on Gigantic map (space maps shouldn't be so memory hungry) and revolutions on is VERY demanding for RAM.
Also you can upload minidump files if you zip them on forums.
Hmm it deleted neanderthal stone thrower as if they stopped existing.8 Gb RAM, Win10 64 bit.
Save attached. One save is prior to recent update. Second is after update, cleared cache, updated modifiers.
I had them enabled in my version of Neanderthal_Units_CIV4UnitInfos.xml. In stock Neanderthal_Units_CIV4UnitInfos.xml file Neanderthal Stone Thrower is commented out.Hmm it deleted neanderthal stone thrower as if they stopped existing.
1. What is the build_up promotion of the hunters? Is that the problem?a few questions??
1. pic 1: why was my town razed when i still have Hunters in it?? and animals??
2. pic 2: How come my Special Forces guys cant take an enemy fort so it MY territory and not his??
3. pic 3: not really a SVN prob but might be>> r we ever going to get to those "extra" C2C things that are in the "options" area?? that TB made?? if not can we override them with something else, just wondering?????
Hunters, dont know, but they are still a person and should be able to "fend" off on the spot they are on, IMPO. . .1. What is the build_up promotion of the hunters? Is that the problem?
2. Special Forces can't take cities, if I remember correctly. Forts and later of the fortification line have "act as city" on maybe that is it. Or maybe they are anti-personnel not anti-building. Actually it makes sense they, hunters and recon should not be able to take a fort or higher.
3.They can only be overwritten but if you are working on something then I suggest you overwrite my Ecological Animals one first as it has nothing behind it and probably never will.
3a. is there something you are working on that requires an option?. . dont know what yr doing on the eco stuff and i dont understand . .
there now i can accept that explanation on ur self, thx. . .I'm not completely done here SO, I need to accomplish some stuff on other projects before I can really dive back in.
Strike teams can take cities and move into forts but cannot capture forts and if they capture cities they'll turn them into barb cities in the process. Special Forces are a strike team unit. They aren't trained in suppressing the population, just in defeating enemy targets.
I get random CTD's on starting new game both for maps and scenarios too.there now i can accept that explanation on ur self, thx. . .
also dont know if this mini is anything, but i had a CTD on starting a new game on the "smartmap" with certain options??
Then you need to start back tracking on versions till you find the one that does not CTD. The one after it is the start of the problem. If you don't then the latest SVN versions are basically poo.I get random CTD's on starting new game both for maps and scenarios too.
Those aren't that bad and they happened since forever, and happen randomly. Then you need to start back tracking on versions till you find the one that does not CTD. The one after it is the start of the problem. If you don't then the latest SVN versions are basically poo.
Interesting. I'll make sure to fix that eventually. I thought I already had.A discord user found out police forces have such a hard time arresting criminals because it looks like the (for example) +714% defense modifier his city has applies to the criminal units as well.
I think DH is looking in the right direction. My suspicion is that it would likely be an art issue but until I build a dll and can look at the minis that dll build generates I'm only guessing. Those aren't that bad and they happened since forever, and happen randomly.
I think Thunderbird or someone would have to start new game or scenario over 20 times before getting crash during map generation or scenario startup.
That is crash on scenario startup or map generation could be possibly vanilla Civilization 4 bug.
Cache is created even if you disable it in Civ4 config.
I guess most basic cache is created then.
Those very rare crashes might disappear, if you delete cache found in those folders:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\My Games\Beyond the Sword <-- I only recently knew about this one.
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword <--- This one is commonly known.
Those paths are for Windows 7.
It appears cache is always only in first folder path - one containing appdata.
