Single Player bugs and crashes v40 plus (SVN) - After Oct 2019

Doesn't captured fire obsolete during the prehistoric, like at fire making tech or something?
Yes it's supposed to.

And Thank you for working on the Barbs. :)

@Toffer90,
Is SO's save using the SVN or Git?

Is there any Barb span adjustments in the Global or A_New_Dawn defines? I can't remember atm. If there are I would like to test changes to the settings during my Civic Test games.
EDIT: Just saw DH's reply on this subject in the Caveman2Cosmos Thread. Any place else I should look into?

And I can't wait for the next SVN Update to see what Toffer's adjustments do. :D

Who knows maybe in the long run, for over all gameplay to reach the late Eras, the previous version when the Barbs were strong could well turn out to be the best. :dunno: Sometimes things just work out that way.:yup::nope::yup::groucho:

I'm in the middle of updating my MToS modmod from SVN version before the save breaking updates, so I haven't had time to really work on the barb issue proper yet.

I have however made one adjustment that will be on the next SVN which is on its way right now. (There's a spawn modifier in civilizationInfo I tweaked for barbs/neanders/animals)
I don't know how it will play out though, haven't had time to see its effect in-game, so I would like you to tell me if it still too little or too much perhaps on the next SVN version.
Whenever I finish up that MToS update, I'll sit down and have a proper look at the barb/animal spawn situation.

Will do sir. :)

Public Stoning building is buildable, though I thought that it will be obsolete by Industrial Era. Also, if I build it, it is still available to build next turn. Also, if I save game and load it again, a lot of obsolete buildings reappear.

Save included.

Public Stoning is obsoleted at Bronze Working.
@MattCA you were removing buildingclass.
Obsolete tag is broken now.

I have noticed this too. But had not mentioned it yet.

Updated to SVN-11138, recalculated modifiers and all buildings that should be obsolete were gone. But after I saved and loaded the game - here they are again, including Public Stoning.

2 things occured to me in my current game that don't seem to be right:

  1. I can't build Atlatlists. Does that have to do with the Neandertal Culture that I have? No prerequisits are mentioned for Atlatlists except the technology Atlatl making.
  2. I can't research Tengriism. In the religious advisor Tengriism is not mentioned as being founded. Everything concerning religions in unchecked, including Choose Religions, Limited Religions, Divine Prophets and Religious Disabling.

1. Yes, one of the downsides of having the powerful neanderthal culture.
2. Strange...

After the save breaking update civics are sorted in alphabetical order (Agriculture, Currency, Economy etc). Was that intended?

Civic options are sorted alphabetically.
This needs to be reverted.

Civics themselves aren't sorted.
One of translators sorted them...

Hadn't noticed that, don't know who did it.
Not sure I like it, should imo be sorted from significant/important civic-categories to less significant ones as it used to be.

I reverted it now.

Civicoptions in civic screen and on top of diplomacy window are sorted exactly like in that civicoptions file.
One of out translators sorted it.

There's a known bug that you can build obsolete buildings. Temp way for anyone to fix it is to do a modifier recalc right after loading a save; ctrl+shift+T to trigger it manually, click once on the map first for hotkeys to start working.

I'm debugging the issue at the moment.
