Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

Yeah I always have my 1 second soul trap dagger handy, learned that in Oblivion...

Spoiler :
BTW does Azura's star only take a soul if it's the last empty one you have left? It will not take human souls, or souls of that size either unfortunately...

Azura's Star cannot be used to capture Black souls (i.e. sentient creatures like the playable races). And I think it's the last to fill up too.

In Oblivion I thought it was always the first to fill up if you caught a Grand Soul.

It can take black souls if you take it to the Elf guy instead of the Daedric shrine.

That's what I plan to do. Since I like fighting humanoids, Black Star will be perfect.

I started a new game as an Argonian. A Barbarian would be the closest "class," I suppose, heavy armour and two handed weapons. I also dabble in Smithing, though finding the materials is sometimes a bit of a pain. Second time round I'm appreciating the world a lot more; seeing more in cities, finding more to do, learning more about the world of Skyrim and it's so much more fun.

Best way to level smithing: kill bears/deer/sheep/etc. that you find in the wilderness, take their pelts, turn them into leather/leather strips, and craft those into leather bracers. You'll level it up in no time. As for actually crafting/improving real equipment, I just buy the raw materials from the blacksmith; mining and smelting the materials by hand simply isn't worth the time.

Also keep all the gems you collect; you can turn those into jewelry for max lewts.

I am running into a silly problem.
I've completed Gauldur quest.
Spoiler :

I am, however, stuck in the room where I defeated the bosses and got my reward.
The entrance has been blocked by those *** iron bars that got down during the fight, and I can't find the way to lift them and get out of the room. I've seen nice videos of people killing the 3 brothers, but they always stop after retrieving the amulet and I jsut don't know how to get out of the room.
Is there something obvious I'm missing? Any help would be welcome.

Leather bracers or iron daggers, iron can be bought in bulk from blacksmiths and it's cheap.

Or one can just open the console and type player.advskill smithing 10000 :p

Interesting classifieds in the local paper today.

That last one is grossly inappropriate and totally hilarious. :p

I posted this in this very thread weeks ago. My favorite one is the one about how there's a "bustling megapolis" of 15 people who can't take care of anything and are looking for help.

edit: I guess these are "more" of those I had originally posted.

See, the leather one is semi-not cheating because you actually have to acquire the leather by hand :p.

Am I the only one getting sick of the arrow in a knee meme? It's bad when you see people making that joke in the World of Warcraft trade chat. Yes I know reading trade chat in World of Warcraft is asking for unintelligent conversation, but I digress.

I think Markarth is the most interesting city in the game. Lots of history, some interesting quests and I find it fun to explore also.
