Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

Yeah well Oblivion had years to accumulate mods.

My Xbox crashed again at another Dwemer ruin, Nchuand-Zel. Is my game or console trying to tell me something here?

Btw is there a common reason why the game crashes ? Mine never crashed in large combats but crashes often when i look at purdy landscapes. :(
Or are there hundreds of common reasons why the game crashes ?

If you have it set to autosave alot, that might be causing some problems too...

The draugr are dull but the ones I hate the most are probably the Falmer.

God. I hate Falmer so freaking much. I dread actually entering any Dwemer ruins because eventually I have to deal with these swarming blind Mers... For the Riften Dwemer Ruin Expedition Quest, at a certain point, after switching on the defenses, I got the hell out of there, just ran towards the exit like no tomorrow as twenty Dwemer machines and Falmers run after me. The only redeeming thing was seeing the Falmer and machines fight.

Possibly, the most difficult battle I had was raiding the Northwatch tower full of Thalmor agents.

I did this at like level 10, you can imagine how much fun that was :p

Is it some kind of falmer-phobia? Or do you guys just find them hard? They're not too bad. I like them, I didn't fight nearly as many as almost everything else. Also in 100 hours I only saw 2 daedric dudes.

It's not like I don't appreciate gameplay difficulty. Like I said, fighting off the Thalmor at the Northwatch Tower was by far the most difficult but it wasn't annoying.

The Falmer... firstly, they are as ugly as hell, and I don't appreciate them just swarming me in full.
Secondly, the whole 'trapped deep underground in a maze ruin' stacks up the whole creepy factor.
Thirdly, the vanilla Falmer are easy to kill off. It's the high level Gloomlurker and Skullker. Individually, they are alright to kill off. But they swarm! So much! With their stupid ice spells! I hate ice spikes!

Secondly, the whole 'trapped deep underground in a maze ruin' stacks up the whole creepy factor.
You mean there IS mazes here and not just linear corridors ?
Man, WHERE IS THIS ?

Considering the vast amount of underground areas in Skyrim are probably man-made it's hardly surprising they aren't mazes. I mean, who wants to build a maze then get lost in it when hiding from Imperial justice? I suppose the Imperials could get lost too but... meh, it really doesn't bother me.

Some of the Dwemer ruins have a more nonlinear layout.

That discussion wasn't about Dwemer ruins, specifically.

Are there any other quests in Black Reach? I explored that whole area looking for crimson ninroot (I even got that seemingly unreachable one by using the shout that shoots you across (if you sprint before you activate this you can get a teensy bit more to get on that island). I noticed other areas you can go into, but never went into them. I suspect those are just alternative ways to reach black reach, and are just other dwemmer ruins. It just seems like such a large place for only one main quest, a side daedra quest related to the main quest, and a minor quest to collect crimson ninroot.

Does anyone know if there is a hard cap to how high you can buff your weapon damage?
I currently have a Legendary Daedric Warhammer with relevant 2-handed perks maxed and it does 129 damage.

However, while I crafted it with maxed smithing, I did so with minimal use of alchemy and no use of enchanting to buff up my smithing skills.

It seems to me that I could brew "fortify enchanting" potion, then enchant myself an alchemy suit, then brew a stronger "fortify enchanting" potion, enchant even better suit and so on. Until finally I could buff up my smithing with both skills and then try improving my weapon. Has anyone tried?

Oh, also... does magic resistance work properly in the game? And does regular, non-magical armor protect against magical attacks at all?

The area is dreadfully underused. There are indeed other entrances to it. But some places are just random useless places as far as I can tell, unless there are many people on the surface that I haven't met that have quests to go down there. I spent many hours in it.

Also, there is one "big secret thing" about Black Reach and I don't know if there are any indications in-game regarding that secret and how to activate it.

What level should you be before entering the Thieve's Guild? After entering Riften with my main character I created a second character (a thief) and went to Riften at 3rd level. I can't get past the initial two thugs in the Ratway.

The spoiler below is regarding the Diplomatic mission:

Spoiler :
I was suffering from a disease which I thought was vampirism when I met up with the guy who would smuggle my gear in. I wanted to cure myself first, so I didn't give him any gear. Since I'm a sword-n-board character, the mission was impossible since I didn't have any gear. I ended up reloading an old save and restarting it.
