2590BC
Sumer EW->EW
lux down to 0%
IBT
kill 2 more warriors 17-1
2550BC
nothing

archer next turn, take out warrior and move settler and 3 EW (including elites) to hill between ivories. Masonry due in 6 so new town can start to prebuild walls on something. Sumers next EW should cover the worker again. Made small mistake of improving BG before cow. Ur won't need a wall as it will be surrounded by other cities. Think we should build 1 more city next to the wheat. Then just military.

17 stupid suicidal warriors - I love it :goodjob:
We must send one EW to explore, maybe we could setup a chokepoint like in the last game.
Build walls in Sumer and then start pre-build. Also, irrigate second cow after roading BG - Sumer have to grow to size 6+ to finish SoZ ASAP.
If we will build SoZ, we will win this game: army of AC's = death to everything :ar15:. Just don't let AI to capture any town - use open/close town trick to prevent pillaging, and distracting trick to prevent AI from forming large stacks.

Own - UP
zerksees - on deck

Remember - 24h to post "got it" and 48h to play. To keep it going notice if you need swap or skip before this time is over.

Since the Mayan's will come over the hills near the ivory they should suicide themselves onto the new city like in the first attempt.

Pre-turn- Looks good. There is excess food, but there is no better tile to work in terms of shields or gold because of GA.

IBT- Ur Archer to rax, Sumer EW to rax (prebuild for walls).

1. Archer tries to kill warrior in the way of settler, he dies, and redlines him. Then an elite EW dies trying to finish him :mad: Vet EW finishes him. [1-2].

5. Found Lagash. Start on EW.

IBT- Masonry > alphabeta.

I forget to write all this, but we also have raxes in Sumer and Ur (forget to change to walls :crazyeye: ). Also I killed another warrior, for a final and, I must say, fantastic kill count 2-2!

pre-flight: send one Ew exploring north, and one SE.

IBT Ur: EW->EW

2110 BC - EWs explore

IBT Ur: EW -> EW

2070 BC - Northbound EW appears to have found a peninsula. Change Ur to settler. Change Lagash to walls as we seem full of EW's.

IBT (edit) Ur: EW -> EW Ur is making 10 spt

2030 BC - Our southeast bound EW is dancing to avoid Javelin Throwers.

IBT Sumer: Walls -> EW

1990 BC southeast bound still running, northbound confirms we have a peninsula to the north. Should be room for two towns there.

IBT Ur: Settler -> EW

1950 BC southeast bound EW escapes, now headed north exploring

IBT Ur: EW -> EW, Lagash: walls -> barracks, Sumer: EW -> archer
Five javelin throwers approach Sumer staggered across several tiles

1910 BC settler still heading west.

IBT First JT dies at Sumer [1-0].

1870 BC treasury has been low but we are making enough to cover.

IBT - two more JT casualties [3-0]
Golden Age ends and we go negative gpt - lost an EW. sorry about that

1830 BC - found Kish, start on another worker, reduce lux to 20%

IBT - another JT and two warriors sacrifice themselves at Sumer [6-0]
Ur: worker -> EW, Rome complete Pyramids.

1790 BC - Sumer pop 5 is unhappy, lux to 30%, science to 40%. Workers on road to attach the ivory and Lagash.

IBT - nothing

1750 BC - The SE now northbound EW continues his trek north. A couple JT are chasing. Smoky will give us a tech or a city for peace - too bad! the Mayan GA did not start on my watch.

We should think about putting another city on the north peninsula, and another SE of Sumer to cut them off and grab the other apparent larger peninsula over there.

edit: Whomp I think you are next.

Good job with exploration, zerksees :goodjob:
It seems like Maya have many hills, we can send one Elite EW for pillage before they will get swords. What about prebuild for SoZ: should we finish settler or switch to palace immediatly to save population for higher production?

Roster:
Smart - on deck
Own - will have something left, maybe :p
nerovats
zerksees
Whomp - UP

I need a skip until I get a new power cord for the other PC. I can't get it to power up or get the civ disks out. :sad:

Thanks

Since two of the population have been working the sea I think it would be OK to finish the settler. Keeping citizens working on the hills there is going to be problematic since the Maya are going to come from that direction. My vote is to keep building settlers and grab the free land and get up to 8 cities as soon as possible. Also gets us more gold so we can build techs faster. All these cows are really handy!

I would put SoZ prebuild in the capital if you think we can afford the shields.

We must definitely build SoZ, it is the only way to conquer our continent when we will get an Army ;).
But we must not overexpand to lose all eight cities in one turn when Mayans will get swords. North land is flat, I'd say to go south from Sumer and settle on hills.
Also we can't use wonders as pre-build, because AI will get them fast. Let's finish settler and start pre-build... I will look at save tomorrow.
