So why was CFC down (on and off) the last 3 days?

In GMT +1 it was 16.43 - 16.58

That would be roughly 10:43 - 10:58 AM EST

-1 to get the GMT
-5 for EST

I think you had the time display on Central Time (which is an hour behind EST).

Not sure if the admins want 12 time or 24 (military/railroad) time.

Server went busy again from 5:41 PM (17:41) to 6:01 PM (18:01) EST.

Yup, every hour at around 40-50 mins past the hour, with the database coming back online 10-20 mins later.

Or maybe that's just how long it takes for people to come back after the server goes down After 40-50 mins, too many people hit the servers, so it goes down. Then, 10-20 mins later, enough people have stopped hitting refresh, so the server comes back up. Then, people gradually trickle in again, until after 40-50 mins, too many people hit the servers again, and it goes down....

Interestingly enough, I was able to log in while the servers were down.

But then it wouldn't happen every hour, because different times have different numbers of people online. More people are going to be trying to get on CFC at 5 PM EST than 5 AM EST, for instance.
