The King of the Sumerian Kigndom was reported dead this morning when he didn't respond to attempts to wake him. The royal doctor and a local coroner have confirmed the source of the King's death was that of a stroke. His Majesty Abbas II was the age of 73 at the time of his death, after ruling Sumer for 48 years after his cornoation at age 25. His Majesy has had one of the greatest impacts on Suemrian history, and historians have already begun the debate of naming him "Abbas The Great." which was even reserved from his grandfather, King Abbas I who had instituted the People's Laws of Sumer, refered today as the Sumerian Constitution.
King Abbas II has overseen Sumerian action ranging from the addition to 2 new People's Laws(the last in 1828) to the original 13. The industrialization of Sumer and the modernization of Haifa's ports. The annexation of Kazakstan and the subsequent destruction of the Dark Shroud terror orginization that the former nationof Kazakstan aided. perhaps the King's most memorable achievement is leading Sumer through what he called "our darkest hour in history," After the attack on Malta by Egyptian forces. For the next 3 years Sumer would wage a war of survival agaisnt the forces of Egypt anfd their allies. King Abbas II then skillfully was able to gain peace with all but Greece, and then led a coalition of nations against her culminating in the destruction of the Greek Empire.
Crown Prince Abdul (III) is schdualed to be coronated tomorrow at the royal palace. He will be age 46. Sumer's future is now in new hands, and regardless of the cult of followers that idolized Abdul in his younger days, the Crown Prince now in his mid 40's is much less popular, but still retains some charisma which many said the former King was lacking.
