Update Sixteen: 1855 A.D.
After four years of nothing during a war that was declared by Egypt towards France, Britain and Denmark, the ice is suddenly shattered. In the same year the Suez Canal is open for business once again and in the same year that the Egyptian navy goes under heavy reconstruction, the Egyptian army crosses the border into the African Union. Prime Chancellor Wilken Yu of the Imperial Republic of Egypt issued a general statement after the surprise attack:
Sighting many discrepancies between the Imperial Republic and the African Union, the Republic has seen fit to dispose of the tyrannical regime governing the people to our south, and install a democratic government friendly to all communities in the world.
The European press, however, sees the situation in a different way.
La Petit press in Paris has declared that Egypt is enforcing the age old Gunas Doctrine. Other newspapers say the Egyptians wouldnt take European influence on the continent. In any event, the Egyptian army crushes the African Union army in several key battles near the border, and has pressed in through the provinces of Kenya and Tanzania, going as far south as Lake Nyasa already.
The lightening strike by the Egyptians is mostly due to the advanced technology employed by the Egyptians in the field of warfare. Kept from the public, the Egyptians have been investing heavily into the military technology sector and has been keeping their discoveries secret. On the eve of the invasion, the Egyptian Research for Military Technology firm announced the new armored car that runs on treads instead of tires, nicknamed the tank. Furthermore, the Egyptians showcased the first monoplane, even equipping it with a few bombs and a machine gun. These new advances in military technology have put the Egyptian army back to the top of the list of the most powerful land forces in the world. The African army is decimated.
Egyptian losses: -9,000 men; AU losses: 50,000 men
Economic growth continues in the worlds smallest yet fastest growing economy, the Imperial Republic of Madagascar. The agricultural growth is astounding, though the Imperial Republic is vastly jungle and mountains, but as of now the country supplies 60% of its own food, compared to 45% two years ago. Meanwhile, important minerals such as tin and rubber are being exported from the small island, competing with that of even Congo and Brazil in the world markets. The Republic, though, can see its peak. The small population and even worse limited natural resources has limited its economic growth in the traditional manner. The Democratic Republic has called for a conscription.
Germany also continues on its economic growth through heavy investment by foreign nations, most of which are French. The industry base of Germany is becoming more and more identical to that of the French, and the German ports of Kiel and Hamburg are seeing major revisions to handle international trade. While Germany does little in the form of overseas trade, the larger facilities have also helped to stimulate German shipbuilding ability.
Talking about French investments, the economy of France is really kicking off with foreign investments and the continual industrial growth. Especially around the controversial Rhineland and Paris, industrial growth has spread more jobs to French citizens who also enjoy the benefits of a minimum wage and a limited work day (ten hours). Though the French are not only developing internal, it is also the most rapidly growing international investor. With the German industry already heavily owned by French companies, they now turn to Italy where industry is bare and ripe for the picking. Much investment has gone into Italian industry by French companies, growing industry around Rome and Piedmont (+ economies to both).
French overseas ventures are also going well. Increased demand in the AU due to the Egyptian invasion has helped to stimulate French growth here, as well as closer ties with the Franco-Americans in Brazil. A French economic sphere is also starting to be felt in Vietnam and Malaysia of all places, where excess French products from Brazil are being sent and devoured by the local peoples. Though French goods are only available to the wealthiest (due to heavy import taxation, mostly in Vietnam), the introduction is a start.
In Ur, the capital of the largest multi-ethnic empire in the world, a celebration is being held welcoming the new king to the throne. The coronation was among the most beautiful and most expensive single even in the history of the world. First a parade was held of Sumers armed forces, marching from the steps of the Abbas Palace through the streets of Upper Ur and into the markets and finally outside the famous West Gate. In the plaza outside the Palace gates was the actual ceremony with guests from all over the world including the Imperial family of Egypt, no longer in power and rarely seen in public. The crown prince, Abdul III, arrived in a traditional carriage led by four stallions and guarded by thousands of police and secret guards. Abdul himself exited the carriage, wearing the traditional dress of crown prince including a long green robe full of the different flowers found in all parts of the empire, symbolizing national unity.
As the prince stepped from the carriage to the red carpet that led up a stage, something became wrong. The prince stopped suddenly, clutching his chest. Slowly bringing his hands away, he realized they were covered in blood. The prince collapsed there, into the arms of his secret police. Abdul III was shot exiting his carriage and soon died in the nearby hospital. The nation was stunned.
A week later the assassin was caught and was soon associated with an underground movement for Persian independence. While the ethnic Sumerians mourned, radical Kazakhs and Persians pushed for their independence. Violence has erupted in the provinces, from Georgia to Persia, from Kazakhstan to even Israel, the most moderate ethnic minority. The people have made it clear that the age of multi-ethnic empires is over. The demoralized Sumerian army has been spread thin throughout the empire, and soon finds itself overwhelmed in many key areas. It seems that the Sumerian Empire is crumbling apart.

The Treaty of Sydney has ended the crucial war in the Pacific, being a decisive victory for, actually, both parties. The USSA has guaranteed the existence of the United Socialist States of Mexico existence with the surrender of the Free Mexican forces and the recognition of the USSM by Ozeania. Furthermore, though, the USSA recognized Ozeanias right to intervention in the wars of South America, as Ozeania recognized the USSA sphere of influence stretching to Columbia. Furthermore, the USSA has recognized the right of Panama to invite Ozeanian troops to guard the Panama Canal. As it stands now, there are fifty thousand known Ozeanian troops in Panama.
Meanwhile to the south, the civil wars of post-Brazil rage on, but it seems like there is an end in sight. One hundred thousand American troops landed in Columbia last year to aid the communists in their fight against Amazonia, decisively destroying the Amazonian army and stabilizing the border. In the Treaty of Cuzco, Ozeania and Bolivia make peace with Amazonia, withdrawing the overstretched Ozeanian armies back into the Republic of Bolivia. Furthermore, the republic is formerly annexed by Ozeania in preparation to what has been announced a Great South American Democracy. Ozeania, committed to the spread of democracy particularly in the Americas, has announced the formation of the Andes Republic next year, encompassing the territories of Bolivia, Peru, the New Ozeania, and perhaps the Chinese colony. The only war that continues is between the Franco-Brazil and Amazonia, where many gains are won by the Frankish dAnarchie Brigade.

Alas, the Pacificans launch an invasion of China! Sighting the support of rebels and the blow to Pacifican pride, the Pacifican government issued a declaration of war against China. The Pacifica troops, eagerly wanting war with China, are helplessly outclassed and outnumbered. The Chinese have advanced weaponry (but still lacking tanks, planes, and only have a handful of motorized trucks) that easily stops the Pacifican advance. But what follows is reminiscent of the wars of the past century. A system of trenches is thrown up on each side of the line, surrounding no mans land. The Pacifican advance was halted just short of the Chinese capital, so close, in fact, that artillery shells sometimes land in the city when the Pacificans are able to break through.

A new comer into the game of industrialization, the small and ever forgotten nation of Recife in South America now boasts of a world-class port. The small nation, with a population of about 800,000 (mostly in the port city of Recife) is comprised mostly of a unique blend of Teutonic and native people. The country has little to no natural resources, but its trade is a growing industry. The nation also relies on its state-of-the-art port for imports, and then exporting it to many of the South American countries, mostly Argentine Colony and Uruguay. The small country is quickly becoming a jewel in South America.
In response to its new port, the Recife navy has built its first dreadnaught and what a dreadnaught. The ship is the strongest dreadnaught on the water, passing the Danish British dreadnaught built some time ago in both armor and firepower.

From the Mod
When you train your army or navy to well trained, you must always keep a growing economy. So for those who tried to train their navy and it brought their economy to stable, I canceled it as it is against the rules.
PANDA: you were right in what we discussed in the PMs, my mistake.
