Tea party, a terrorist organisation ?

Lets see, throwing bricks at congressional representatives and senator's windows, threateneing them, screaming epilets at them. Yeahhhh, the Tea Partyiers are a bunch of terrorists.
What about gangs who throw bricks though windows? I guess they are bunch of terrorists too.

If moderate Islam fosters terrorism, the moderate tea party movement-types foster violence as a political tool when they target congressmen.

Perhaps the Karzai Obama administration can come to some kind of settlement with the moderate wing of the Taliban Tea Party groups.

The Congressmen targeting is overblown by the media.

I agree with you that it is right now, but all it takes is one person doing one person doing something really stupid for everything to get out of hand, and the fuel for someone to do something really stupid is certainly there.

I hope there are no foolish idiots who would do something like that. It would certainly not help anyone.

I agree. I really wouldn't it to happen either (even if it would be the political death of the teaparty movement) but we can hope their are no foolish idiots all we want, that doesn't stop them from existing.

I don't think that would kill the teaparty movement. It would just give the government an excuse to lock up people who disagree.

I don't know, if some teaparty people were to do some nonredeemable clearly terrorist type attack, a lot of politicians would be trying distance themselves from the movement as quickly as possible. The teaparty is okay, but its still only the 20% of the population that always votes conservative anyways. The politicians still need moderates to get elected.

I also doubt it would lead to some mass arrest of teaparty supporters, considering I still believe the majority of conservatives (18-19 of that 20%) would be abhorred by any such attack.

I would be abhorred an attack. I don't think such an attack will happen though.

Nice that we can walk away agreeing.:D

It already did when the gas line to that person's house was cut. Cutting the gas line to kill a politician was an act of terror even if it was caught before an explosion. It is no different than carrying a bomb on an airplane and having the TSA find it in the security check.

Can we punish Randy Neugebauer like we did with the guy who yelled "YOU LIE!!" to Obama's face? :D

Neither Conservatives nor Liberals have a monopoly on violence. Groups on both sides have extremists who may take the law into their own hands. A movement shouldn't be condemned because of the outrageous acts of a few.

Being a Liberal or a Conservative is simply having a structured outlook on life, a set of attitudes towards society, politics and culture. Thinking in a box. There's no reason we have to hate each other. Tolerance seems to have declined in recent years.

In my opinion, it's because of the political parties. The elections, especially the Presidential elections, are becoming like Christmas, starting earlier and earlier each cycle. It used to be that the parties would lie, exagerate and fear-monger to stampede their constituencies to the voting booths - and it would all be forgotten after the election - allowing Democrats and Republicans to work together for the good of the country. But now, the next campaign starts almost immediately on the heals of the last and the parties no longer turn off the political propoganda.

Well it seems by the actions by the conservative tea partiers lately that they are more apt for violence.

Lately being the operative term. Most organizations, over time, will produce heroes and bums, never mind the ideology.

lately is the operative word. Very few radicals from the 60s are planning to blow up the pentagon or threatening to kill anyone. It is the current crop of right wing radicals that are the problem and the ones to worry about.

...if you're a liberal. Conservatives worry about ecoterrorists and environmental radicals who have been involved in, tried and convicted of; arson, piracy, sabotage, conspiracy, bombing, and murder. Groups like the Earth Liberation Front and the Sea Shephard Conservation Society take "direct action" - crimal violence and vandalism and mahem.

My intent is not to attack liberals, but merely to point out that both sides do it. Don't pretend that it's just the other side from whatever opinion you may have. Be fairminded. Show some non-partisanship. Discuss the issues rather than focussing on the rotten apples amoung liberals or conservatives.

do they intentionally try to kill people? do they cheer with glee at possible collateral damage?

Just how stupid are those tea party/ GOP types in putting the addresses of Democrat politicians and encouraging their supporters to as they said, pay a visit.
According to mainstream news, GOP politicians have been having their offices vandalized as well. But you should have known that already (or you do know and aren't saying anything). The voters are not just angry at the Democrats right now, they are angry with both parties.

Naturally you're going to see more violence against the Democrats because there are more Democrats in office. Simple math; throw a brick at a Senator and you've got a 60% chance--errrr, sorry, my mistake, I forgot about Brown--a FIFTY-NINE percent  chance of hitting a Democrat.
