That shouldn't be necessary. If you run the Console client there's no clash with the OpenGL software, and FAH should just retire into the background whenever you are hitting your CPU hard in a game.

Yes ... the Console Client. It doesn't display pretty pictures of the proteins, but who needs them? It just gets on with the calculations.

Anyone know if the F@H and "World Community Grid" are different names for the same bucket of points? Can points recorded under one team be transferred to another team?

Nope, different projects. There's a bunch of distributed computing projects out there, F@H just happens to be one of the biggest and most worthwhile. Points can't be transfered between projects, although look at BOINC if you want to have a variety of stuff. Folding points are assigned to whatever team you are currently folding for, and can't be transfered later.

The thing that speeded up my folding significantly is when I realised that my machine had two cores so I needed 2 copies of F@H to make use of both of them!

I'm moving to a console client and will also be starting my second core folding. I've copied the prog file directory but I think I need to flush the partially completed job so that both cores don't work on the same one. How do I do that?
