Well, I bought a new album today:the best from the 70's and I wanna see which songs from these are your favourite.

None of the above.

What!!! No Black Sabbath and Aerosmith!?

No Yes??

And who is this Clepton guy?

Rather odd selection for such a poll. But from that list, I will have to say Eric ClApton and Pink Floyd are a virtual tie. And I cant believe there is no Eagles on that list.

Some of my favorite bands from the period:

Boston.
The Eagles.
Kansas.
Electric Light Orchestra (a personal fav).
Styx.
Bad Company.
Fleetwood Mac.
AC/DC.
Queen.
Meatloaf.
Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.

I'll do anything for love of the OP to put Meatloaf in the poll  but i wont do that.

The story of popular music in the 70's is really two stories. The first is alot ofreally great Rock, the second is the birth of Rap and the first inlkings of 'hip-hop culture'.

I guess you can say that the Sugar Hill Gang "Rapper Delight" did started in the late 70's.The birth of commercial rap?

Well....not Rap...but Disco sure. Disco...the most hated form of music ever....that you jiggle to while driving down the highway.

Fantastic list :goodjob:

From the poll options, I would have to go with Eric Clapton, though I do now have 'Devil Woman' stuck in my head. Thanks werback, thanks a lot :p
