The CFC Confessions Thread

Just when I think Australian culture (don't bother guys, I've heard every joke imaginable already) has become totally immersed by America's and that we are, for all intents and purposes the 51st State, this drinking discussion reminds me how different we are.

If you're drunk posting, that means you're either drinking alone or you're on the computer with friends. Neither one of those things is impressive.

Nah it's usually after a night out or after drinking with flat mates.

Sorry, 52nd state. Canada's pretty liberal, but it's not too different from Washington.

Reviving this thread 'cuz I'm a douche and am in a douchey mood tonight.

Confession: I don't like to be touched. And I'm talking about pure Platonic touching.

Like, I seriously don't like to be touched.

Like, sexual-harassment-lawsuit-happy don't like to be touched.

Even friendly hugs with my parents or taps on the shoulder make me exceptionally uncomfortable and awkward (again, Platonic).

Do you mean Plutonic? ;)

I'm not fond of touchy-feely, either. It's just a preference.

I'm fine with non-Platonic touching, though. In fact, more than fine. Perhaps that's why I don't go on the Platonic sort so much.

I'm pretty similar there, although it's really not a problem if I'm anticipating it. But if people just touch me with no prior warning, I will flip out a little.

Most people I know like that have an underlying medical issue they aren't treating. Often food allergies or hormone imbalances. Sometimes chronic infections or autoimmune stuff. The aforementioned are all treatable.

I don't, but I'm constantly posting under the influence of crushing fatigue.

Do you like being touched when you're being flirted with? That's a huge turn on for me. Just curious if your rule applies to non Platonic situations.

Makes sense, but for me, it's entirely psychological. I've been touched plenty of times (such as a hand-shake), and haven't had any medical problems, so definitely psychological. And yes, I make exceptions for handshakes. Gotta advance in the world somehow. :p

I've never been flirted with, but I do believe it is safe enough for me to assume I'll have my typical reactions (the uncomfortableness/awkwardness) in spite of being flirted with, perhaps even more intensely considering I'd have no clue what the bleep to do.

But as a rule, no, it does not apply to non-platonic situations, if they ever were to happen.

You do as you told. Like the rest of us. ;)

Women can manipulate us, and we don't even know it.

I have a phobia of transmissible diseases so I tend to avoid large groups of people. I get uber paranoid in large festivals, markets, night clubs. Thats is I'm afraid of large unorganized groups of people because they easily spread disease, they can overrun you, they are uncontrollable.... Im not afraid of small areas, i just dont like a lot of people in a small area, im fine being alone in a small area.

How you doin', big boy? ;) Is that a 3DS with Pokemon White II in your pocket or ... are you just happy to see me?

Spoiler :
Can't say you've never been flirted with anymore!
Doesn't change the fact I've never been flirted with IRL. ;)

I confess that one of my most intimate desires is to see VRWCAgent dance Gangnam Style.

I confess that I probably spend more time on CFC and the internet than in college.

There is a good chance that you have, but are just too oblivious to catch on to it. I have a hard time recognising flirting as well.

I have been flirted with at least once. The one time I recognised it. But I rejected the girl in abad way, because I was reading the newspaper in the library and she was bothering me. I realised it just when she left. :wallbash:

But I didn't really know her. I actually remember her as the girl who'd try to spit over me and one friend of mine in the bus home when we were... 5?
