Well, I have no idea what exactly are your powers, but we may discuss about that here. I didn't ask anything now to you, nor to Southern King because the council was already closed for this update, so I just let the provincial counselors to rectify their orders.

Next update you'll have an active role, be sure about that.

Okay guys, I'm going through the game and now we need 2 volunteer cities. I'll list those which can't:

Already have Stables:

- Babil (Dar al-Iraq)
- Ninawa (Dar al-Iraq)
- Al-Uqsur (Dar Misr)

Already volunteered (we need 0 more):

- Tell-Hisn (Dar Misr)
- Al-Iskandariya (Dar Misr)
- Al-Quds (Dar ash-Sham)
- Makkah (Dar al Arab, through council vote)


The thing here is we got the quest, and I'm sure it's in our best interest to complete it asap. So I need cities to volunteer to build Stables asap. You'll tell me if we can whip and how. Tell-Hisn was already going for a Stable by my previous orders, and I scheduled a Stable in Al-Iskandariya which is going to be completed really soon. Sadly Abu-Simbel isn't good enough to make a stable soon.

Dar al-Iraq can't help us as his 2 cities already have Stables. Our best candidates are Anadol [Qustantiniya or Anqarah], Arab [Makkah] and ash-Sham [Al-Quds], as Zanj is still developing his land too.

Don't you think a stable is a great way to build up for the ottomans? Not only you'll get the XP to produce our most incredible unit, but also you'll trigger the Random Event, which probably will give us bonuses to help us endure the ottomans.

Take into consideration that we have double production of Stable, so if you start it and wait one turn you may whip it with 1 pop. If we can do that in 2 volunteer cities, we will have the quest completed in 2 turns (because my cities are already doing that).

Currently Qustantiniyah is starting the barracks, and Anqarah needs 6 more turns to complete the Mosque (then it will make a forge, and an aqueduct and finally a market). While the forge will take 22 turns to complete, a Stable takes only 6 in each city.
 
I volunteer Al-Quds. If nobody else volunteers you may build one in As-Sur as well. No whipping though.

Thanks Knoedel, it's preferable that we may do the whip, it's a one pop whip that will guarantee that quest to us. I'll add Al-Quds to the list.
But is the whipping allowed in Al-Quds? Al-Quds is growing to seven next turn, so it'll go back to six.

If we could whip Al-Quds and Makkah that would be great. Has anyone seen VGL lately? We are missing his opinions on the matters.

No, I knew you were going to say something like that but no. I don't think it is a great way and I don't whip my cities.

Great Knoedel! Now we only need one more city so we can get that quest in 2 turns. As DKVM prefers to build up for the ottomans (whichever that's supposed to mean), we are down to rely on VGL's comeback and allowance to use Makkah.
 
I have noticed VGL responds to private messages more than thread messages. You should try to message VGL privately.

I'll have to leave now to work and I'll only be home tonight (~7 hours from now), but my gf is coming too so I won't have much time to update the turns. I'll try to do it though. If not I think tomorrow I may end the 20 turns (it won't pass sunday as on sunday I'm free).

My guess is that he is going to backstab us and switch sides to them.
 
Be nice. While I personally believe the experience added by the stable to all mounted troops coming after it will make up for the population and hammers spent, more troops is not a bad plan, especially in a game of civ. :)
