personally i voted against them because they're entirely luck based; pull the slot machine, find a couple early natural wonders and you win.

Not at all. You need to actively scour the map to get to them first, and you want to plan to site a few cities near them to really rake in the bonuses, which has started more than one war. You have to choose to actively pursue a strategy of finding and then working the natural wonders for it to be effective, so it's less luck and more commitment to a play style.

But MadDjinn, even if you're 100% correct, if people like me voted accordingly we'd swamp those who do have the DLC's but have a different opinion.

Reason for going Babylon over Mongolia or Denmark: the latter two are good at one strategy, and live and die with that strategy. If/when puppets/domination get nerfed for being too easy a route to victory, they'll go down with it. But Babylon will be solid regardless.

Don't know if that reasoning works for anyone else, but hell, it's my vote!

Greetings gentlemen, long-time lurker here (since CivII I think, I've been playing on and off). For my glorious first post, I do believe I will do away with that narrow-minded old hag, Isabella.

And +1 for Denmark and it's somewhat overpowered (yet awesome) Berserkers. Babylon might be better overall, but domination victories are way more fun imo. Also, "Harald Bluetooth" is a badass name.
