The Epstein Files

If his mental deterioration continues and continues to show up in public settings, His enablers will find ways to pretend it is not happening. They need him appear strong and powerful until 2028. I suspect Donald will reduce his public appearances and situations where he gets to speak off the cuff.

Recently:

"I'm going to Russia." when he was going to Alaska.
"300 million Americans died from drug use last year."

Should be 65 since that's retirement age here.
If it were 65, then to work a full 25 years one would have to be hired/selected at 40. I think pushing that lower bound to 50 is better because you can then hire/select more experienced people to work a full 25 years. Retirement age is moving higher in any case. 65, 70, 75 are all an improvement over what we have now.

If you cannot be bothered to read his birthday book here is a youtube review. It is 38 minutes long, but it kind of needs to be, there is a lot in it.

A 12-foot statue of President Donald Trump and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein holding hands and prancing together was erected on the National Mall early Tuesday.

Three plaques appear alongside the satirical faux-bronze statues, courtesy of a mysterious group that goes by the name The Secret Handshake. The plaques note the statues are “in Honor of Friendship Month” in September.

“We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend’ Jeffrey Epstein,” one plaque reads.
Other plaques feature quotes from a bawdy birthday card Trump apparently once gave Epstein.

In a statement to HuffPost on Tuesday, the anonymous leader of the Secret Handshake said the statues speak for themselves. “No one else publicly that we know of partied with Donald Trump, traveled with Donald Trump and visited at Mar-a-Lago just as a friend, not just as an associate. Since this is Friendship Month, we wanted to celebrate what is presumably, at least publicly, Donald Trump’s only true friend,” the group’s leader said.

Trump and Epstein spent over a decade running in the same social circles or attending various high-profile events and parties together. Trump also rode on Epstein’s private plane between New York and Florida. Trump had called Epstein a “terrific guy,” and Epstein said he believed he was Trump’s “closest friend.”

“He was a lot of fun to be with,” Trump told New York Magazine in 2002.
The two men had a falling-out many years ago, and by the time Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges in 2019, Trump insisted he was “not a fan.”

Epstein died by suicide in federal prison a month after his arrest, kicking off a firestorm of questions, controversy and conspiracy theories about his death — and his life, especially his connection to wealthy elites who were introduced to young women or girls through the disgraced financier.
When Trump ran for president, he leaned heavily into conspiracy theories about Epstein and vowed to expose those involved.
But Trump’s thirst for transparency about Epstein’s crimes and associates has seemingly since vanished.

Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed in February that there was an Epstein “client list” on her desk at the Justice Department. A month later, however, the Justice Department and FBI released a statement saying Epstein never had a client list and that no further records tied to the Epstein probe would be made public. That decision was controversial, even among Trump’s base and administration. Things only got worse for him in July, when The Wall Street Journal reported that the president’s name appeared many times in a “truckload” of documents reviewed by the Justice Department.

Demands for the so-called Epstein files to be released have intensified ever since, including from women who said they were abused by Epstein and his associate Ghislane Maxwell. A bipartisan push by members of Congress to have the files released is in limbo at the moment. Reps. Thomas Massie (R.-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) need 218 signatures to force a floor vote on a bill they introduced that demands the release of the documents.

Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel has been busy deflecting questions about the Epstein files. During a recent congressional hearing, instead of answering questions about Epstein, Patel recited the ABCs.

The Secret Handshake has put up tongue-in-cheek monuments before, including a series of bronzed turds that honored the “brave men and women who broke into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to loot, urinate and defecate throughout these hallowed halls in order to overturn an election.”

Another statue of a giant gold thumb crushing the Statue of Liberty appeared on the National Mall in June with a plaque on one side that read, “Dictator Approved.”

Panic Spreading Through GOP After DOJ Reveals Epstein Files Are More Damaging For Trump Than They Thought

Panic is reportedly spreading among Republicans as whispers grow louder about what’s hidden in the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files — and just how bad they could be for Donald Trump.

According to veteran journalist David Shuster, who has worked with MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, several House Republicans have heard directly from Department of Justice contacts that the Epstein documents are “especially compromising” for the president.

Shuster posted the bombshell on Wednesday, writing on X that “speculation/rumors [are] sweeping through [the] GOP caucus” about what’s inside the files.

“A few GOP house members say they’ve heard from FBI/DOJ contacts that the Epstein files (with copies in different agencies) are worse than Michael Wolff’s description of Epstein photos showing Trump with half naked teenage girls,” Shuster wrote.

The story took another twist during Attorney General Pam Bondi’s recent appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee. When Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) asked Bondi whether she had personally seen any of the photos seized from Epstein’s safe, she dodged the question — and then fired back by grilling Whitehouse about campaign donations from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, who also had ties to Epstein.

“She didn’t give a denial,” Shuster noted.

Yippee kai yea!!!!

I just keep thinking about what is in there that stopped Biden releasing them. He must have seen all this bad stuff, but still thought it was better to not release them before the election.

Trump posing with topless teens? Trump on Jeffrey's plane to the Virgin Islands? Testimony from a teen that she had sex with Trump? Trump visiting Epstein's house in NY?

I do not see that stopping Biden releasing the files. Bill Clinton in those situations, and Trump in much worse is what I would put my money on, but I do not know.

It could be video, apparently there is a lot of CCTV footage.

Highly doubt it, Biden and Garland were very respectful of the norms keeping the President at arm's length from the DOJ.

Democrats in US Congress ask Randy Andy to appear for questioning over Epstein links

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been asked by Democrats in US Congress to answer questions as part of its investigation into paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Members of the House Oversight Committee wrote to Andrew in a letter addressed to Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park, which the former prince has agreed to leave.

The committee does not have the power to compel Andrew to appear in front of them, but said it intends to ask questions related to information on Epstein's network and associates based on the pair's "longstanding" friendship.
