If anyone voted for an icecream sandwich I feel like you should by necessity have also voted for an oreo. Other than temperature, what is the difference?
If you take more than about half a minute to eat an ice cream sandwich, it will melt and you'll have a mess.
If you take more than half a minute to eat an Oreo, you will still have at least part of an Oreo.
No. An Oreo is a cookie. An ice cream sandwich is a sandwich by its long long tradition of being called a sandwich. It has grandfathered rights to the name. Burgers, burritos, tacos, hot dogs, gyros, etc. do not; they are just jumped up wanna be sandwiches. They should be quite happy with their own designated niches. They will never be sandwiches.
Burgers and hot dogs will definitely be sandwiches if you don't have any specialized buns for them and have to substitute two slices of bread.
Meat between breads, eaten with one hand.
Depends on how it's cut. If it isn't cut either in halves or quarters, it's awkward to eat with one hand. And in the case of crumbly or runny fillings, two hands can help avoid making too much of a mess.
A burger is a meat patty. You can eat it without a bun. If you but it in a bun, it's a hamburger sandwich.
"Burger" is culturally understood in North America (well, mostly) to include both meat and bun, whether the meat is hamburger, chicken, sausage, or fish. Other fillings and condiments are optional.
A year ago last month I had to go to my dad's nursing home to sign some final paperwork after he died. The person I needed to talk to was busy, so the staff asked if I'd like a cup of tea. I figured why not, so they led me into the main dining room where they had a "high tea" event going on. I was invited to sit with a table with 6 or 8 other women, all 20-30 years older than me, and asked which kind of tea I'd like.
I picked cranberry (it's good if you add honey, as cranberry by itself is a bit tart), and then I was asked if I'd like to try some of the snacks. So just to have a new experience, I tried the cucumber sandwiches.
Well, they weren't bad taste-wise. But they were soggy and not very filling.
