My feelings on the subject is that if we utilize Maximum trade, the AI will eventually resent us for it and once we get to the middle of the tech tree we will not have any trade partners. So I voted Minimal Trade

I agree withTubby. Its better to trade slowly. In addition, you can start to slowly use the techs to gradually add buildings insteadof having to choose between a bunch of buildings. Slow and steady growth is better than spurts..

My last comment on the president thing...I can not believe after all the moaning and groaning that either( or both) of them would step down.( I will step down before he can) It tells me that he (they) really didnt want the job or was afraid to lose. Personally..it will be hard to vote for either of them knowing this in the future.

Yes I know anyone can read this and I don't care. More people need to let their feelings and stances on things like this be known.

I would have voted abstain...but one ticked me off more than the other. Yes I voted against one person and not for the other.

I am from Louisiana, we had a governors race a few years ago where our choices were a former KKK leader or a guy who stole millions in tax payers money. I had to vote for the thief..who is now in jail on federal charges. I hate doing that then and I hated doing it now..but some times the best choice is a vote against something.

Well folks, while I'm here I was thinking it's been a bit quiet. The RPG guys and gals seem to be busy with their role playing thing and the legal eagles have certainly got plenty to keep them occupied but there have been a few folks complaining how serious it's all getting. I think that is where we should show an interest.

As we approach new elections, maybe we need to ask the candidates really important questions, such as:

- what is your favourite beverage?
- what is your favourite snack?
- where is your favourite place to consume your favourite beverage and snack?
- "Religion, politics and war are inevitably linked throughout human history." Discuss this statement with reference to Civ IV game mechanics and personal philosophy in no more than 3 words. You get a bonus mark if one of those words is 'fedora'.

Surely some folks must be able to think up some better questions?

Yeah - what was with the fairground operator fella in the mask? Lucky thing our heroes were around: I'm sure he'd have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those pesky kids.

However, this doesn't answer the real Scooby Do question. I remember Shaggy and Scooby getting into lots of scrapes and, yoiks!, hi jinks. I remember Velma being annoyingly clever and solving lots of mysteries. However, that leaves Fred, Daphne and the Mystery Van and plenty of offscreen time. Civ Fanatics is a family site so I'll say no more, but I think you know what I'm talking about.

Oh boy, just having thought about that lavender dress means I need a very cold beverage and a lie down in a darkened room

Have you clicked on the 'Group Membership' link (towards the bottom left in the UserCP screen)? If so, the group is called 'Civ4 Democracy Game'. Check the 'Join Group' circle and then click the Join Group button. In a day or so the Mods should have added you to the group.

Note that you only need to be a member of the group to vote in polls. As you have already registered as a citizen, while you're waiting you are welcome to partcipate in the forum threads and express opinions about how the game should progress. Or simply chill out with fellow Idiots.
