I think it genuinely was a mistake, his internet has been playing up for weeks now and it crashed as he attempted to stop the fleets, and then thinking he had left it until it was too late...
 
It wasn't a mistake, as I have learned from his correspondence with me in private messages and in-game, but I won't reveal their contents until Abaddon gives me permission to do so. Oh well, no hard feelings, this lets me annihilate that annoying little red blemish in the middle of my stars. ;)
 
In other news, Game 6 is heating up, as the last of the non-NESer AIs are annihilated from play. merciary does battle with lord_joakim and The Aries Corporation (Terrance888), while Daftpanzer decides to have a tussle with the Maximal Ultimarchy of Battlemasters (Lord_Iggy).

merciary has problems, and he knows it. I have no idea if he actually expects to win this war. ^^
 
AGH! One more place and I could have pipped 3rd...
 
Well it's not like I had a whole lot of options, though so far it hasn't turned out horrible for me.
 
I know you were pressured into it from your position - I hold no grudge against you. :) I think your first assault could've turned out better, I reacted too fast - I really massacred your first carrier - but right now, it seems like time is on my side and I have the power to keep a stalemate until I return fire. I seem to have the upper hand, calms me a bit. I was nervous to get into a war in this game. Also, my reserves have just rocketed to be larger than yours I think. You're really unlucky.

But at least you captured three systems that I need to get back but have no position to.
 
I have updated the scores, results and standings in the first post.

Will 3:30 PM Pacific Time, this coming Monday (11:30 PM GMT), suit everyone for the beginning of the next game? If not, do any of you have alternative proposals?

Also, mad props to thomas.berubeg, who recognized that ()_seLF_) was an homage. I wasn't sure if anyone would catch the reference, and I'm very glad that he did. Hope to see you around for the next game!

Do you mean the special game with credits? Or another free one? That time suits me whatever though.

No game has started, what are you guys talking about? Daftpanzer said the same thing, and I will say: as far as I know, Game Seven has not happened, and Boundless' special game hasn't begun either. So don't worry about it. :)

Why was there no warning at all? I couldn't join because I was at work. Now I've missed my chance to play in a 12 player game.

Seriously though, why'd you launch it so quickly Abaddon? That's exactly the reason we have this thread, so that we can plan these ahead of time so that everyone has a chance to join. I could have taken a late lunch break to join this game had I known it was happening, and I was really looking forward to playing in a huge game like this one. I had a species planned out and everything. I know you're banned and can't post, but you could have asked someone else to post on your behalf, or sent out a warning a little bit earlier. :(
