The NESer Neptune's Pride Thread!

Just another morning on the front

Oh @Terrance, there's also the fact that you had all this chat about giving weapons to ravincrasol? I'd rather you didn't upgrade my enemies, thx. Quite a few battles still raging around thomas's homeworld.

Didn't I give you free weapons at one point? I thought the money was interest on that :)

And yes, I'd be fast asleep. You're second payment came at something like 4:40 AM local (production is 7PM local). Admittedly sometimes I am awake at that hour ;)

PS @thomasberubeg, if you see this, we're about to trip over each other at one of those stars.

I've been following this match very closely and I must say, Ravnicrasol deserves to be hanged by the coalition of NESers, especially Daft, Thomas, and whoever is on the left of Ravnicrasol. Tear him and his allies apart. :nya:

@Lord_Herobrine I haven't played NP for about a year, so getting pretty into this game as you can tell :) (sorry, people in my NESes). It would be great to have you, Iggy and Disenfrancised in this as well... Maybe another time :)

I will add no caption.

'I should've sent more ships'? :p

@Terrance, you are a big power now. It is your responsibility to source your own weapons in advance and to plan your attacks accordingly!

I'll freely share weapons with you and everyone else as and when:

A: I am getting them through my own research and am not bound by promises on re-trading (unlikely to ever happen for the remainder of the game)

B: You are not negotiating with ravincsrcol / Viz who, having realised they can't kill me, are trying to eradicate thomasberubeg's remaining stars in a genocidal fit of rage before they go down.

Things are looking good. Not as well as planned, but no plan survives contact with the enemy, right?
So, all things considered, I have taken a huge leap forward by eliminating their threat to my core systems and taking a decent resource planet with some industry. It is unfortunate that they got Weapons 6 so now I am not at an advantage even when attacking, but I have achieved greater production levels than Red Circle, with some production centres in the front itself.

I already got Weapons 7, which means I'm even when attacking. :p

If anyone has tactical advice, please feel free to share:

Its crazy. Most of the stars in that pic originally belonged to thomas (Orange Diamond). How to evict Orange Hex & Green Triangle, while defending against raids, and without tripping over each other? :s

Note rav's ships, newly upgraded thanks to somebody's weapons trading.

Well, I don't know who did that bit of work.

I planned to give it at the end of the deadline, leading him on and waiting for me
Instead of askin someone else to send it.

That would be 18 hours from now.

Also, I sent enough ships. He got 2 manufacturing, 2 weapons, and 2 industry upgrades. Just
the facts of war. Weapons 7 would have made the difference, but no guilt or anything.

Finally, I'm fighting on three fronts now, since Sludge and I are going to conflict soon. He's a jerk.

Finally, I have literally sent thousands of credits to varioua NESers for free in tech. A bit of reciprocation isn't too much to ask?

Advice for thomas: Abandon OmicronAlpha and OmegaZavijava.

As for you, I only see XiMenkab in immediate trouble. You could either divert PsiElectra ships or charge with the forces going to OmicronAlpha, which I'd reinforce with PhiChow's ships (to prevent ravni from attacking it while your fleet is sailing, just in case) which I would reinforce with ships you got going to SigmaHyadum (same thing, it's all about flight length, really.)

terrance, I sent you Scan6 in reciprocation. :p

Advice: Thomas abandons his stars and moves into your abandoned exiled systems in the interior of your empire. You take full control of the front and win the war. Switch back systems later.

Sorry for freaking out, Terrance. Getting too into this game ;) Our trades have been most beneficial.

And thankyou for the advice. I've made a little plan of action, work in progress:

Out of 1310 ships, I have around 1000 in the front or in their way to. But that's because I'm a-small.

Guys, more advice if I may. At the present moment, Viz (Orange Hex) seems amenable to peace at thomas's original borders. We're not far off anyway, but he would give up 4 stars with 10 industry total, without a fight. Viz has upped industry throughout his empire, making him a good target on one hand, but still has 2000 ships, and has proven to be a good fighter (compared to me at least).

I'm not 100% I can trust my non-NESer neighbours, especially if I am piling everything into a long grind through Viz's cores, over near the galactic centre.

Viz could potentially join the new post-Guild, pro-Tuna alliance.

We have an advantage and I COULD keep going. I'm going with Thomas's gut feeling on this matter, but I'm just interested to hear what others think, if you wish to offer an opinion. Thanks :)

(And I know, I was nudging people to attack him: have sent an ingame diplo about that. Nothing is decided yet.).

Power shortage. May noy be able to play tonight. I could potentially be offline for well over twelve hours.

I was going to move into him after I finished off with the current wreckage of ravnicrasol... I didn't just set up my chain to take 4 planets.

I hear you. I don't want to decide all this for thomas who has to live as neighbours potentially, so see what he says?

Yikes, sounds like things were just getting critical on your front as well.

I think I kinda need to take a step back from this game as well... Never had such an intense game. Been really fun fighting to disrupt the guild led by mr Arrogance, liberating thomas, fighting 3 enemies at once, etc. But I've started to obsess become fully obsessed over it. I was warned this could happen with NP games!

I knew you needed two, but I thought they had unlimited range at fist
