They don't have access to metals that enable upgrades for the warrior, so they have to discover rifling/chemistry before they can even upgrade it. If Dublin's garrison is instead an archer, I think it would be better.

After a certain point Dublin also stopped building stuff in my game (I've checked in WB several time). I have no idea why and whether this is an issue of Knoedel's mod or in general. However, the fact that they have three warriors and haven't built anything in centuries has not stopped them from still being alive in 1920

This is a pretty regular occurrence in DoC in general, yes. Occasionally the Vikings will take them, but that's about it. The British AI appears to have no interest in securing Ireland.

Silly answer: I don't know. I assume it is a setting in the "BUG" graphical user interface mod, which I changed and don't remember.
