The prefix for cooperative games - final poll

Many people here expressed in this thread a need for another prefix, additionally to LP, VidLP and Story, to mark the threads which are about cooperative games, like the realpolitik threads.
The last poll here didn't give a totally clear result, that's why we now poll out the last two options, RP and IAAR. This time there's no multiple choice, you have to decide which one you want.

The poll will run 5 days, afterwards we'll see which one gets taken.

As stated in several places, voting for RP. Mainly because I plan on running something that technically isn't either, as per their historical use on the forums, but could be stretched to be called "RP".

There is nothing that doesn't fit under IAAR. Sorry, but I see no connotation of RP that can't be described as an IAAR.

Its certainly not an IAAR.
However, RP, by literal meaning, rather than previous use, could serve well enough, though, ideally, it would have its own prefix, as it is something new. Given the fact that I don't know if it will catch on, and the job of the moderators, that would be quite foolish to ask for, though.

CivO, "roleplaying" would seem to automatically fall under Interactive. I can't conceive of any potential meaning of "roleplaying" that "interactive" doesn't cover. In fact, there's only one thing that IAAR doesn't cover . . . normal AARs, which are why we have the [Story] prefix.

Dave, it's been IAAR to the RP community for as long as RP has existed. The point of this isn't really to choose the one that sounds the best, but to choose the one that best encompasses the roles involved in the job. IAAR covers all potential forum game ideas, whereas RP does not cover ideas that don't feature characters and roleplaying.

It's quite simple really: the Civ4 folks spammed the IAAR option, giving it around 16 votes or so in about half a day.

Again, I'm voting for RP as Role-Play could essentially fit most kinds of games we have around here.

Agreed, IAAR covers all possibilities, RP has a more limited scope.
Personally I thought the last poll was pretty cut and dried as IAAR was the only option to be chosen by more than 50% of voters and had nearly 1.5x the amount of votes for RP.

I get the feeling that some people would not be happy even if IAAR won this vote.

People saying IAAR does not cover all the bases, what happens if RP is chosen to games like WarRoom where there isn't any role play?

Exactly. There are game types that aren't really about roleplaying, but are definitely interactive. Like, for example, a game where the viewers advise the player on what to do next as part of the game. Or War Rooms.

IAAR covers everything. War Rooms are not RPs. Divine Interventions (once players actually start running them here using IGE or something) are not RPs.

RP may include "most" games that start here but IAAR covers all forum games started here.

Not much that hasn't been said, so I'll simply say that I can't see how IAAR could be not applied to the sort of game we're talking about here.

As I discussed elsewhere, mine technically is neither and IAAR, nor the subcategory or RP. Someone suggested a better term would be "communal story", but that is neither an option, nor an acronym.

Also, before this vote came up no one in CivV had even mentioned the phrase "IAAR" on the sub-forum.

LH mentions AAR several times in the SoTS thread (and the interactive is just obvious) While RP is not mentioned as Role Play in any of the intro's to any of the games we are talking about.

I admit that IAAR isn't widely used but neither is RP so the point is moot.

Eh, fair enough.
My main motivation for wanting RP over IAAR is because that is the phrase I've seen in that area of the forums, and, while my planned thread is technically neither, the "RP" crowd is who I want to attract (else the thread will die).
Plus, RP is easier to figure out than IAAR, for someone who hasn't seen the phrase before.

The biggest thing with IAAR is it is an inter-forum term (and the one most used in the Civ IV S&T)
As to them not making sense Role Play to someone who is new to this would much less give the idea of the story and much more of gaining EXP
You would need to be told what IAAR meant but that doesn't seem like much of an issue to me as I doubt the tag attracts people to the story (unless it was wondering what they were) and the tags function to show where things of a similar nature which doesn't need you to understand the tag.

I used Interactive AAR in the title of the game I started a while back.
I really fail to see how you can come up with something that fits in this forum and isn't a story, LP of IAAR. If it has multiple participants who can have a meaningful impact it's interactive and if you are telling how a Civ game goes then it's an After Action Report.
