Anyone?
Guess what I'm asking is, if I speed up, am I increasing the surface area of my windshield when defined over X time?
I would think so, just take it to the extremes.
Say rain is falling equally and straight down everywhere on the Earth. If you are sitting still, then the rain will only hit your windshield that is falling directly above your windshield.
Say if you go the speed of light, your windshield is colliding with every raindrop that is the same height as your windshield as you circle the globe 3 times per second.
Obviously you don't go the speed of light, but the principle is the same. Likewise, I think you hit more rain on your windshield as you speed up and the amount of rain hitting your rear windshield goes down.
I have only had one class in physics, so take it with a spoonfull, a ladlefull, and a Morton's canister full of salt.
