Today I learned that in Pokemon, that while Azurill has a 25/75 male/female ratio, Marill has it as 50/50. This results in them sometimes changing gender when they evolve:

Another weird quirk in Pokemon: Female Nidoran can breed, but Nidorina and Nidoqueen are both in the unknown egg group and can't. Meanwhile, Nidorino and Nidoking can breed. I can't figure out the reasoning behind this.
