To alcohol - The cause of and solution to all life's problems.

Can you give any good reason? Just because you say "Its worth it" doesn't mean I'll ever find out.

Because
a.) It tastes delicious when you've accustomed yourself to it
and
b.) there is nothing quite so relaxing as kicking back with a brewski while watching the sporting event of your choice.

OK, at least the reasons don't consist of "Get drunk and party" (Or if that's what you were thinking, at least you knew who you were talking too and decided to annoy me.) That said, I'm perfectly happy with soda pop.

(I'm an addict for 7-11's two dollar 64oz:p)

If you insist. What kind of beer would you recommend for someone who prefers beers that don't taste like horse piss?

Not a beer expert, but rule of thumb: stay away from anything that advertises itself as cold and refreshing. Warmer beer is supposedly more flavorful, although I haven't really had 'warm' beer before. Also, don't get the cheap stuff; to an extent you get what you pay for.

I'm not going to try to condition myself to like it if I don't. I see no good reason to do so.

You don't have to force yourself. I am by no means a social butterfly, but once you're of a certain age, there will be beer, because most people like beer of some kind. They'll offer some to be polite. Try one. If you like it, cool; if not, oh well. I've yet to encounter a beer so bad that one sip was a horrible mistake. And that's totally free.

You can also sometimes get variety packs at grocery stores and just pick a bunch of random stuff for pretty cheap.

Some booze just tastes really good with certain foods. I've found that pretty much anything that I used to drink soda with (pizza, burgers, etc.) is more enjoyable with beer. And I don't mean because I'm drunk. It just... works.

just to be fair ... you will have to kick out the age/morality/dating reasoning you hold tho... and learn about "chewing your arm off in the morning" so as not to wake your date...

It's worth noting that alcoholic beverages are, in general, a lot healthier for you than soda.

I really don't drink much soda in college, too expensive. Instead I drink alot of cheap lemonade mix.

I just buy sodas with my meal plan.

How expensive is it, why is it so expensive, and why on Earth would there not be a 7-11 anywhere near my college?

It won't be that expensive, but you will be going through A METRIC S***TON of it.

I don't see why so many people hate alcohol the first time they tried it, I like the taste of most alcohol I've tried (Except for pure vodka, I find it horrible, although it's very good when mixed with a decent soft drink).
