Ugliest buildings thread

I read that it's elevator shafts don't line up. That being said it looks strait out of Blade Runner.

So it is a bunch of concrete with not practical use at all. We can safely say it is a true piece of art then.

Apparently it was going to be finally finished but the Kimsbury Doughboy decided to start firing his rockets and the company pulled out.

I think it has been already posted but was not finished back then.

Now it is! the exterior at least, but inside continues empty and without use. NK thinks it is Spain!

Dont know if it is the ugliest or most beautiful building though.

It is kimspirational :D

I like it. Monumental, but without grandeur. City halls have a band tendency towards pompous and fussy design, but this avoids that will still expressing an appropriate degree of self-assurance.

^The left side (front here) is ok-ish, imo, but the right side could have been flat, cause now it looks like a transformer morphing into a cassette or part of an f-16 exhaust bit? :)

Academy of Sciences building in Moscow:

It looks like if they put rusty scrap metal construction at the top.

That was my thought too

I'm not a huge fan of the bronze-chaos going on on the top. I like the overall design and color-scheme, but that top just doesn't sit right with me.

The colour scheme is good, and reminiscent of some white churches with yellow or more oxidated colour onion-shaped domes inside the Kremlin.
The building looks like zombified version of orthodox churches. Color scheme is indeed similar.

Compare with Annunciation Cathedral in Moscow Kremlin:

I'm guessing it's students had a hand in it's design, and they happened to be steampunk fans.(the sciences building, not the church)

Right, the cathedral was built in XV century. There were not too many steampunk fans back then :)
