LOL this reminds me this one of Iberdrola (an evil electric company) Tower (in Bilbao as well)

it is based in a similar one to this

^ That sterile cityscape reminds me of Docklands in Melbourne.

What's with all these open concrete stuff. The buildings themselves aren't that bad to look at, but is it too much to ask for some trees.

Apparently the above (posted a while back) is in Japan. ;)

And for a new one:

Obviously from England and London, this is the glorious 'Unite Stratford City', cause buildings should have cool names too and not just infants :yup:

In my city:

It's so bad.
Reminds me of this church in Finland:

Looks are often deceiving, but this one is consistent in its ugliness:

They've added those windows to one of the walls in a renovation, but they only serve to underline the gray blockiness of the other three walls, imo. I guess the idea is that you will beg for your soul to be saved after witnessing the sight of this church, and promptly enter. ;) Alternatively, 'austere = spiritual' clicked a switch on the architect's temple, and the light of reason was extinguished to accommodate this singular vision. Ah, the wonders of (organized) religion.

EDIT: It's mostly the neat organs, but I'll give you that the theme works on the altar wall:

A huge electric razor in south London.
South of the Thames people need razors, but just giving them one massive one is of no help :(

Isn't that the Shard? Oh no, it's the Strata Building.

Didn't I hear the other day that the Shard has been declared derelict, or something?

 I really like that last church, Greizer. I think it would have a great sense of volume. But not in the sound kind. I'd be interested to know how they handled the acoustic challenges of a space like that.

:bump:

Old style naturally blends with post modernism:

And more english brutalism, but the following looks somewhat cool and reminds me of Giger's lairs in the Alien :)

And a new nasty english modern building:

Stockholm School of Architecture, 1960's "neo-brutalism" style-wise. Funnily enough many of the students like it. It's kind of raw concrete inside, almost unfinished, and they tended to find it creatively refreshing that things were precisely sort of... not-finished... crap stored in the hallways, where you could scavenge material for projects and stuff...

I think it has been already posted but was not finished back then.

Now it is! the exterior at least, but inside continues empty and without use. NK thinks it is Spain!

Dont know if it is the ugliest or most beautiful building though.
