This is a Wikipedia like site for conservatives.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Main_Page

So, why make Conservapedia? Here's why. Apparently, Wikipedia is just too biased (liberal?). It uses British spelling too often, it's antiAmerican, and it's too antiChristian.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Examples_of_Bias_in_Wikipedia

Just for fun, one example of the consesrvative articles on Conservapedia is this fine one about the Pacific Northwest Arboreal Octopus.

http://www.conservapedia.com/Pacific_Northwest_Arboreal_Octopus

Crooks and Liars put it nicely with saying, "Not content with having their own news channel, America's conservatives want their own facts too."

Here's the article on George W Bush.

Is the president of the United States of America. Republican. Was awared the office of President by a narrow decision of the U.S. Supreme court in 2000 in a Is the president of the United States of America. Republican. Was awared the office of President by a narrow decision of the U.S. Supreme court in 2000 in a disputed election race against Democratic candidate Al Gore. In 2004, George W. Bush won reelection by a popular margin of millions of votes, including a landslide victory in the State of Florida where the outcome had been so close in 2000. Democratic candidate John Kerry quickly conceded defeat the day after the election.

For many months after John Kerry conceded the outcome of the 2004 election to George W. Bush, some liberals continued to claim that the election had somehow been stolen by voter fraud. When Al Gore went on a speaking tour in 2006 to promote government controls over industry in the name of global warming, many liberal fans greeted him with the belief that he had actually won the election in 2000.

This is totally sweet for conservatives, obviously. I suggest you conservatives start working on those conservative facts on that site!

EDIT: I misspelled the damn thread title. Can a moderator fix "Conservapedia" for me please?

What a fat crock of shat.

I guess they are unhappy with Liberals trashing Bush ;). Perfict material for Uncyclopedia!

Wikipedia allows the use of B.C.E. instead of B.C. and C.E. instead of A.D. The dates are based on the birth of Jesus, so why pretend otherwise? Conservapedia is Christian-friendly and exposes the CE deception.

The entry for the Renaissance in Wikipedia refuses to give enough credit to Christianity.

Wikipedia often uses foreign spelling of words, even though most English speaking users are American. Look up "Most Favored Nation" on Wikipedia and it automatically converts the spelling to the British spelling "Most Favoured Nation", even there there are far more American than British users.

This is sad.

With my views, I'd probably need my own online encyclopedia. :p

Do these fools know that British spelling is also followed by the Commonwealth which includes my country and others?

Morons total bloody morons

That and the language is called 'ENGLISH'...

That and the language is called 'ENGLISH'...

Ahh yes. Unless you're in one of those US States that legally says the language is "American"

I predict the following to follow:

1.Communistopedia/Commupedia/Communopedia
2. Socialistipedia/Socialpedia
3. Liberalopdia/Libepedia

Conservative facts!

Creationism!
http://www.conservapedia.com/Creationism
Creationism is accepted by most Americans and by the most significant scientists in history. Intolerance by opponents of creationism has led to a silencing of contemporary scientists on this issue, but many risk their careers by speaking out against theories that earth is somehow billions of years old.

Dinosaurs ridden by humans!
http://www.conservapedia.com/Dinosaur

Evolution!
http://www.conservapedia.com/Evolution
Evolutionists have no real evidence that macroevolution occurs and there is no consensus on how it allegedly occurs

The discussion about The Theory of Evolution article is juicy.
http://www.conservapedia.com/Talk:The_Theory_of_Evolution
Pay no attention to JoshuaZ. JoshuaZ is a fanatical bully boy evolutionist admin at Wikipedia and one of the many reasons why conservapedia.com was created.

Dude, this website isn't for conservatives. It's for ignorant people who are intent to remain ignorant.

Maybe someone should rename it to Idiotpedia?

A one stop shop for finding materials to redicule rednecks with! Just think how much time this will save satirists!

Truely a public service.

I predict the following to follow:

1.Communistopedia/Commupedia/Communopedia
2. Socialistipedia/Socialpedia
3. Liberalopdia/Libepedia

There are already several
:

* Demopedia - Democratic Underground's liberal/socdem wiki
* Dkosopedia - DailyKos's liberal/socdem wiki
* Red Wiki - a socialist/communist wiki
* Anarchopedia - an anarchist wiki
* Sourcewatch - a specialist progressive wiki, tracks lobbyists etc.

A natural outgrowth of the poorly defined rules governing the site, e.g. Neutral Point of View, Notability, etc.

Ahh yes. Unless you're in one of those US States that legally says the language is "American"

I think, ironically enough, that Godwynn is!

Dude, this website isn't for conservatives. It's for ignorant people who are intent to remain ignorant.

It appears from what you posted that it's not serious.

^ I'm pretty it is serious.

I heard its run by the same guy who did something called Petition against Anti-American Hollywood or something similar. He was on a Daily Show segment. He's looney.

EDIT: It was Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood, or PABAAH as its known on the streets.

Evolution Violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics

Evolution does in fact lower the entropy of the sum of the living DNA on this planet. The mechanism used by evolution to lower entropy is the collection and storage of information about trait survivability on strands of molecules called DNA. The theory of Evolution says that this information collects naturally through non-random selection from offspring variation.
Huh?

If this is serious (And I'm not entirely sure it is) it isn't an encyclopedia for conservatives - it's an encyclopedia for idiots. The grammar is terrible, the writing sucks, it's incomplete and often inaccurate. As a social, religious, and fiscal conservative, I have to say - this thing sucks.

conservatives have conservopedia.

the rest of us have reality.

Sigworthy, but I already have a large enough quote.

haha, it's cool. just stating the facts.

i love this:

Did you know that faith is a uniquely Christian concept? Add to the explanation of what it means, and how it does not exist on other religions.

 BS
