Cossack (Russia) - 21
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 25
Digger (Australia) - 21
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 27+1 = 28 Can we crown these guys winner yet?
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 22 (21+1) - why so little love till now? nowadays AI loves spaming encampments, so denaying most of great generals and keeping it for own use is great. Farming GG points extremely early on barbs justifies +1 enough and benefit from barracks adds even more. not to mention producing it adds a little science. One of two reasons I love Macedon so much
Huszár (Hungary) - 15

Khevsur (Georgia) - 8 -3 = 5 Won a game with Georgia on Diety. I didn't build a single one of these.
Legion (Rome) - 21
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18
Mamluk (Arabia) - 24
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 8 Just tested these out and they are pretty fantastic not sure why they are going out early, but I won't boost them to stop it.
Minas Gareas (Brazil) - 25
Mountie (Canada) - 18
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 20

War-Cart (Sumer) - 25
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 15

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 22 (21+1) Not the most powerfull, but sure fun to play, you only need one or two to burn all coastal tile of your opponent without him being able to catch you ^^
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 21
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Carolean (Sweden) - 15
Conquistador (Spain) - 26

Impi (Zulu) - 21
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Khevsur (Georgia) - 5 .
Legion (Rome) - 21
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18
Mamluk (Arabia) - 24
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 5 (8-3) With the latest patchs, it is both a ranged unit (owned by light cavalry...) and cavalry (so anti cav kill them easily...). And they are damn expensive especialy early game maintenance... For the same price, I can have 2 archers (slower and weaker, but still reliable) or 3 warriors...
Minas Gareas (Brazil) - 25
Mountie (Canada) - 18
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 20
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 26
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 18

Huszár (Hungary) - 15
Hwacha (Korea) - 21
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 21
Immortal (Persia) - 23
Impi (Zulu) - 18 (21-3) For me the bonuses of the Impi are insufficient to cover the fact that at the end of the day they're an anti-cav unit. It's unique advantages make it a capable unit, but most others here start from a capable unit.
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Khevsur (Georgia) - 5
Legion (Rome) - 21
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18

Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 5
Minas Gareas (Brazil) - 25
Mountie (Canada) - 18
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 20
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 26
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 18
Rough Rider (America) - 17
Sea Dog (England) - 8
Samurai (Japan) - 17
Toa (Maori) - 23
Varu (India) - 24
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
Warak'aq (Inca) - 24
War-Cart (Sumer) - 26 (25+1) I love the Pitati Archer and Eagle Warrior, but when I attempt to swarm my neighbors early on no unit has ever proven as impactful as the war cart. On it's own, it's usually sufficient to swallow one and a half civs (more if you plan it out well, or have favorable terrain). Early UUs are often greater than later, and for me the War Cart is (narrowly) the king of early UUs.
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 15

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 22
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 21
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21

Immortal (Persia) - 23
Impi (Zulu) - 18
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Khevsur (Georgia) - 2 (5-3) - Not as bad as it used to be but still not very good. Doesn’t particularly sync with Georgia’s abilities
Legion (Rome) - 21
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18
Mamluk (Arabia) - 25 (24+1) - It’s healing ability makes it hard to kill.
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 5
Minas Gareas (Brazil) - 25
Mountie (Canada) - 18
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 20

Bireme (Phoenicia) - 21
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Carolean (Sweden) - 15
Conquistador (Spain) - 27 (26 + 1) Convert on capture? Yes please. One of the few units that enables victory by returning cities after war, giving you diplomatic flexibility.

Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 26
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 18
Rough Rider (America) - 17
Sea Dog (England) - 5 (8-3) What good is capturing the opponent's ships, even if they did have some? If I'm killing their navy, I already have a bigger fleet than them to start. And then what do you even get to do with a navy?
Samurai (Japan) - 17
Toa (Maori) - 23

Immortal (Persia) - 23
Impi (Zulu) - 18
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Khevsur (Georgia) -dead as 2 -3 : time to go , reason well explained by many posters above
Legion (Rome) - 21
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18
Mamluk (Arabia) - 25
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 5

Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 23
Huszár (Hungary) - 15
Hwacha (Korea) - 21-3=18 - I dunno, it doesn't feel that great to me. Not that Korea needs earlier units anyway due to them being tech beasts. I'd prefer Field Cannon myself. I feel like not being able to shoot and move at the same turn can be a serious disadvantage sometimes, with your targets simply managing to run away.
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 21
Immortal (Persia) - 23
Impi (Zulu) - 18
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23+1=24 - I'm a great lover of Naval Ranged class. Frigates and battleships are two devilishly strong units. Again, those beasts are faster frigates coming earlier, with a nice side bonus that even gives you possibility of being stronger than Frigates. And they don't need resources.
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Legion (Rome) - 21
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18
Mamluk (Arabia) - 25
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 5

Toa (Maori) - 23
Varu (India) - 24
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
Warak'aq (Inca) - 24
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 26
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 15

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 22
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 21
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Carolean (Sweden) - 15
Conquistador (Spain) - 27
Cossack (Russia) - 21
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 25
Digger (Australia) - 21
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 28

Immortal (Persia) - 23
Impi (Zulu) - 18
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Legion (Rome) - 22 (21+1) Always a classic. The requirements for iron are not as steep as they were, so legion rushes are still a viable and effective way to expand your empire.
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 18
Mamluk (Arabia) - 25
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) 22
Maryannu Chariot Archer (Egypt) - 5
Minas Gareas (Brazil) - 25
Mountie (Canada) - 18
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 20
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 26
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 18
Rough Rider (America) - 17
Sea Dog (England) - 2 (5-3) Better units have already been eliminated before this one.
Samurai (Japan) - 17
Toa (Maori) - 23
Varu (India) - 24
Viking Longship (Norway/Harald Hardrada) - 21
Warak'aq (Inca) - 24
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 26
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 15

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 22
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 21
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Carolean (Sweden) - 15
Conquistador (Spain) - 28 (27+1) By upvoting this one even further, we risk drawing the attention of someone to come along and kick it down a notch because Eagle Warriors or Pitati Archers are a better UU or whatever, but dang, Conquistadors are awesome. They churn out era score by giving you that historic moment of converting an enemy city BEFORE it actually captures the city, and they let your religion grow as far as your military might can possibly take it. I don't know of any other way to convert any massive city so easily. Not to mention that they're rather strong in their own right. People have often called Spain a bad civ, but they sure do have one hell of a UU!

Impi (Zulu) - 18
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 23
Keshig (Mongolia) - 20
Legion (Rome) - 22
Malón Raider (Mapuche) - 15 (18-3) There's nothing too special about this one. And as someone else stated, its two (minor) bonuses conflict with eachother. The pillaging does synergize with Lautaro's ability, but eh, the Malon Raider just doesn't seem to be that strong. There are certainly far better UUs out there.

Winged Hussar (Poland) - 15

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 22
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 22 (21 + 1) ... strong and fast early game naval unit that can explore like mad, defend easily vs Barbarian Quinquiremes, conquer early cities, and provide tons of era score points in an often critical stage of development. Unique ability is a bonus.
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Carolean (Sweden) - 12 (15 - 3) ... meh

Impi (Zulu) - 18
Janissary (Ottomans) - 23
Jong (Indonesia) - 24 + 1 = 25. Apart from already mentioned points, the fact that they come out earlier that frigates makes it much easier to upgrade them to 4-range battleship armadas.

Carolean (Sweden) - 9 (12 - 3). At the end of the day, these guys are Anti-Cav. While they're good for defense in their time, given that Sweden is a mid-late game Cultural Civ anyways, they'll be out of use long before the game ends. And you'll be left with useless Anti-Cav units. Also, Musketmen can stand up to them, they do not need to have not moved in order to have high combat strength, and they come earlier!

Toa (Maori) - 25 (24 + 1). I'm going for a Domination victory with Arabia, and yikes! These guys are no joke. I lost a city to Maori, and took me well into the gunpowder units to finally be able to stand up to them. Even the Mamluk did not just stomp them. Plus, Maori didn't have any iron, but that doesn't matter because you can spam units that do not need resources! They get a vote of respect from me.

Rough Rider (America) - 14 = 17 - 3. These aren't bad units per se, but now that we have cuirassiers, the choice is a 67 unit that doesn't upgrade to a tank and must be hard built, vs a 64 strength unit you can upgrade into and upgrades to a tank. Honestly if the RR replaced the cuirassier it would be a phenomenal unit. But the RR's hodge podge of bonus (culture for kills, big bonus on hills) aren't going to give you the muscle an off continent redcoat can. The only real reason to hard build an industrial unit is to bust up a city before artillery. these lads can't do it. Also, kill culture tied to your continent is strange - you've often taken over your continent by this point, so it's not as effective in an attacking role, which is the only reason to make units like this.
Samurai (Japan) - 15 = 14+1. I think they get a bad rap. Having the option to build a medieval unit that is essentially a knight on foot isn't bad at all. First, the middle ages is still early enough to be building units; second, it work with oligarchy; third, they upgrade directly to muskets, giving you an easy drop-in unit to make in the medieval instead of having to temporarily shift over to knights. I like being able to stay in the melee line all game. By far the best of the military tactics uniques.
