Anyth8ng about AI and using airforces? Nope.. ? See you in 6 Months
I have seen AIs use airforces in all the games I played since R&F. That being said I still need to see a carrier with aircraft in it, not sure it uses it.

That’s not the issue. The issue is the player builds them, particularly bombers, and then easily kicks ass with them. I’d be cool if there simply wasn’t airforces at all. But, there is, and so the AI should really know how to use them. It was easy enough for them in previous civ iterations. The emphasis some people put on the air combat in this game constantly surprises me. I mean sure, the AI doesn't make use of it, but it's still a fairly minor aspect of the endgame and it's not like this is Sid Meier's Dogfight VI...

Its two fold. Once CSes survive past the early game, they cant keep up with other civs.
When a war starts, the CS typically loses all their units fairly quickly and then seemingly builds nothing because their production is very low. When you liberate a CS, they often get stuck with pillaged improvements/buildings for seemingly forever and 40 turns later still have not built a single military unit. And then you have to babysit the CS because in civ 6 your allies do not care if you are the suzerain, they attack whatever CS they want and you cant stop them short of walling off the CS with your units, at which point the AI breaks and they sit there shooting the city forever but can't take it.
And of course you cant declare a protectorate war with your own ally...
Really wish the update would drop this week.
This patch doesn't seem like very much effort IMHO. But at this point any attempt at improvement is welcome. Hopefully, there is more in the pipeline.
Actually I had the AI use a bomber against me in my last game. I was rather baffled. I think they strategically bombed a farm outside one of my cities. I don't think they used it again after that, but I don't recall whether this was because we peaced out or not.it's not really that the AI dosen't use it... it's more that you have SUCH an advantage over AI when YOU use it, because they don't, most of the times... and it gets so easy to conquer cities once you have that air superiority
Considering a big patch dropped when R&F released, I'm pretty sure this is a supplementary patch to the usual patching schedule (which is roughly once per quarter). That, or they might be changing to a new normal with a faster patch schedule, but I'm skeptical of that. This patch doesn't seem like very much effort IMHO. Yes, but balancing take time to test & find the good numbers. Also, I hope there will be a good list of bug fix. The sound bug is the most known, but the 'monarchy AI' one is also quite annoying (all AI switch to monarchy in every game).

They're going to fix the sound bug, too!

Are you still getting that? Last patch seems to have fixed that for me."The one where the game hangs instead of closing?"
