Have you verified hat it still happens WITH viewports? If not please do.

OK put it on VP and it goes to the next turn ok, but if I press the arrow(s) around the "next turn button" , VP also CTD's right away??? Plus i cant go left ot right, up or down in VP either?? (To look at other cities OUTside the VP area??

If i put the game on regular again, even using VP for a couple of turns(then turning it off), it CTD right away again also??

I guess i am not getting it, because over 60% of only this "large" map is water anyways, with only 6-7 civs??

If it's crashing without viewports, but not with , its just that you're running out of video memory. Nothing we can do about it within the confines of the Civ 4 engine.

What do you mean by saying you can't go 'up left right or down' with VPs on? You can move the viewport via the military advisor, or by selecting a city in the domestic advisor - if you select one off the current viewport it will re-center the viewport on the one you select. Arrows in the city screen should also work.
 
Next turn CTD again, NO viewports, try it CTD also in above post.

Based on these dumps I'm going to hazard a guess that there is an air unit with bad graphics. BOTH the last two dumps you have posted occur when it tries to set up the animation for an air-bomb mission. Its not possible to tell from the dumps what unit is involved however, but it must be one that someone has built (presumably an AI unless you're bombing someone?) by this point (how early are you??). Perhaps the early clockpunk one??
 
I have a game on giant starting using VP myself, was hoping not too many issues.. ;)
 
Some new Bugs for V27 Vanilla:

1) I have a repeatable CTD. Just end the turn. Is there still anything like a "culture overflow"? Maybe that's the reason...

Found the cause (a fairly recent combat mod change). Fix will be on the SVN shortly.

Yeah its not me, i am not even close to any air driven units, but one has the Clockpunk, units called Ornithopter, i believe??

My bad. For some reason the Ornithopter was using the Fighter anims, which I'm pretty sure are wrong. Don't know why that would cause a crash though. Fix coming to the SVN shortly.
 
I came across an issue with Power Lines.

  • Power Lines are supposed to be available at Electricity.
  • Power Lines require Copper Wires or Fiber Optic Cables to build.
  • Copper Wiring Factory is not available until Telegraph.
  • So you technically can't get Power Lines until Telegraph. This creates a hidden technology prerequisite, and stops you from using Electricity right away.

I suggest moving Copper Wiring Factory to Electricity tech.

Have an error, needs to be fixed, thx.

The CIV4BuildingClassInfos.xml and CIV4GameText.xml is missing for the building.
For a quick fix extract the attached archive into the Modules\CIVPlayer8\Buildings\ (and then edit them the way you want it to work, display, etc. because ATM it looks like in the pic.)

Could you post a screenshot? I haven't seen any problems when I use it, but if you see something different, I need to know where the problem is.
the message itself when you vote seems to be ok, with options and everything, but i noticed after the assign city vote it looked weird with "txt_key..." when the result came back. the congress is obsolete in my current game, but this is how it looks under victory conditions/resolutions screen

Some new Bugs for Vanilla V27:

1) If you get "no unhealthness from buildings" somehow, you magically cured all diseases. Is there a way to change it in "no unhealthness from wonders and normal buildings" (but noch special)?

2) The Temple of Toth and Temple of Ptah both have a buddism sound when build but they are kementism wonders.

3) Heros in city seems to defent last or allmost last. In one city there where some Town Watchman (str 5, city def bonus 95%, city has a defense of 40%) and a Hero with str 16 (!) and the hero did nothing untill all TW were death. Than he killed 5 of my attackers so he surely was stronger than the TW.

4) Hinduism, Taoism and Islam don't give a free Great Prophet when I research them first. I think I already posted Hinduism and Islam here, but I am not sure about Taoism.

5) A Classical Hero, Hamilcar Barca was able to be settled down as a android worker. Also, I don't know why you can settle some heros down as military instructor OR great military instructor. Why should someone take the first option than? And who will settle his Hero down as a citizen?

1) is because diseases are buildings. ;)

2) The Kemit wonders play the Buddhist construction sound. :lol: I look and see what I can do.

5) a military instructor is supposed to let units in the city train after they have been built but we don't have that code/mod.
 
Yeah, I know that diseases are buildings ;) It seems just wrong too me that they also lose their unhealthiness. Same with Pollution once this is completely integrated.

Only the Military Instructor but not the great military instructor?
