the medic line is brocken from healer till ww2 medic the units reduce disease but the medivac helicopter and its upgrades doesnt reduce disease
 
You need to either copy your user settings from the previous version, or save the game and reset the options again after reloading the save. This is a BUG (or possibly DCM) quirk, not a mod quirk. I agree that the default settings aren't the best.

I tried resetting , it is useless option , just like the rest of them .

Have you started a game, then manually saved the game you want WITH your defaults, STOP game, then re-start the same game, do it again changing your defaults to what you want AGAIN, this time it should take, then just do like the screenie looks and put a copy in the Desktop for save keeping and then thats all you have to do is copy and paste for ANY future versions. Easy as pie. . . SO
 
CTD upon attacking the Khmer capital. It doesn't happen every time, and as far as I can tell it isn't a MAF. Dump and save attached.

So far as I can tell this is a crash in the unit animation. Almost certainly an animation graphics problem. If you can reproduce it under the debugger in the debug version you can probably determine which units are involved and therefore where to look. 99% it's an asset problem though.
 
Its replaced like gems. However the manufactured resource is new while the old resource is still there. Which is why you see 2 "dyes".

I have some suggestions and questions.

The case of tattoo hut and other buildings use the new dye resource, but other buildings are using the old one, maybe you can rename the new dye to refined dye or something like this. I can't have the new dye resource, but I play the gem map, I think the map need a update, right?

The old dye resource will be deleted?

I will when I get any time. I'm profiling the modifier recalc currently (because that doesn't really involve hands-on time - I can analyse the results later). I'll look at this CTD once I'm done with that, but with the holidays I can't promise anything before the weekend. I might have time before or might not - it's hard to say.

Thats all fine and dandy, it was quite a ways back, just didn't want it to bypass is all, no biggy, even if you dont get to them next week thats fine or the week after also, Have a great time with Friends and Family everyone (at least in the USA) gobble gobble . .

Well, it happened on attacking with a ballista against an Archer, but that was the second ballista I'd used and like the 50th archer I'd killed, so I don't see what the animation issues would be there.
 
Bug, I missed the Swordsman when I went through changing unit costs. I'll fix that now.

OK. What about Mounted Infantry? It has a base cost of 50, and Light Swordsman has a cost of 80. That seems way too cheap, given that they are really close on the tree and have the same strength.

Turn off attack animations (quick attack option) and see if it cures it. That would be good corroborative evidence for some sort of animation issue.
 
Pressing Insert no longer opens the city which you are centered on, it opens your capital city instead. very annoying.

That must be what those arrows are about also then?

Not really since options does not want to change with any game , new or old.
 
The "Sid's Tips" text on the hover-help thing is the Strategy text (TXT_KEY_TECH_ACOUSTICS_STRATEGY in this case). That is supposed to be a short description of what the tech is for (for those who have trouble understanding the implications of the actual effects, I suppose). Some of them are much too long, like this one, giving real-world historical information and suchlike but no hint as to why you might want to research this particular tech.

You don't by any chance have BUG/BULL/BUFFY installed as "stand-alone" mods as well, do you? I've found in the past they interfere with mods that have it built-in, and there is no real reason to install them seperately. The problem you describe shouldn't be happening, as I tried to reproduce it with your version and couldn't (I tried to reset Field of View, and couldn't but that was the only thing---and I don' use that anyway so it didn't really bother me).

Probably my fault since I wasn't aware of this functionality. What do you mean by 'centered on'? Is this different to 'selected'. If I can understand properly what it's meant to do I can probably get the right functionality back! Are there any other keys that do city selection I should also be aware of?
